Joel's POV**
I walked into the school building and met up with my two friends Erick and Yoandri since they were the only ones there yet. " what's up mis cubanos." I went up to them. Erick being the flirt he is was currently trying to get some senior girls attention yeah like they are gonna pay attention to some sophomore and Yoandri was being on his phone.

"Hi potato!" Said Yoandri with a huge smile on his face which meant he had news. " What happened what did you find out?" I said with a smile back, " I was trying to tell Erick but he wasn't paying attention." He said and we both turned to look at him now coming our way. " you guys talking about me?" Erick said we all just chucked " Ok so this is going to be good news for all of us in a way..... We have a new female student." He said and Eric was happy already I mean we have seen the same faces for three years. " Ok so how is this good news for all of us?" I asked still a bit confused " well first off she could be a good dancer and help our schools dance team because we have not won at competition in four years. Second off she could be a good singer for choir don't get me wrong we have good singers but we need a mini Huston in here for the win. And lastly you can finally get a girlfriend potato." Yoandri explained.
" How is this good for me?" Erick said in a baby tone that made me laugh " If potato doesn't get her you keep her." Yoandri chuckles

" Hmmmm ok, but Joel don't you have a date today though?" Erick said while moving his eyebrows up and down. I forgot to tell Yoandri about the set up.
" whoo he has a what?!" He said clearly shocked but happy " Don't put it like that Erick." I said while giving Erick a fake irritated look. " Ok so this is what happened yoyo...." I told Yoandri since I forgot to tell my best friend.

*skipping Joel explaining to yoyo as if he was a jealous girlfriend*

"Ohhhhh Mexican moms are crazy." Said Yoandri playfully as we started walking towards our lockers " pretty much" I simply respond as we walk in front of the main office the three of us noticed the new girl speaking to Ms. Louis the nice secretary. " Bro she's really cute." Erick said as we were peeking through the office window in the main hallway " She seems fit what if she plays sports instead, look she doesn't seem girly." Yoandri said disappointed because we do need a dancer more than a singer, not to be mean and stereotypical but there are mostly white girls and only a few can actually dance. " You do know dance gets you fit too right bro." I told Yoandri.

" if you guys are trying to take the new girl to class your too late I'm her guide for the whole day." We heard a voice behind us and we turned around fast to see Tami with her arms crossed. " Oh hi Tami how are you, nice shirt by the way." I smiled nicely so we can meet the new girl at least " Guys seriously shoo bye." Tami said we sighed and started walking to class. Erick and I had the same first class so we just ended up going to our assigned seats which were also on the same table with Logan.The bell rang and my group started to think of ideas for the project we had to do.

The door opened to reveal the new girl with Tami I noticed they had the same logo on their shirts too. Wow she actually is really cute, I hope her inside is as good as her outside. I just sat there admiring her when Erick elbowed me " So are you going to get her or can I keep her?" Erick whispers in my ear, I just shrugged in response and Erick just looks at me like I have a disease.

Mr. Bowington told her to introduce her self to the class she seemed nervous at first but then started talking.
"Well first of all my name is Denise I came from Chicago, I have a brother that's a freshmen that goes here as well and if you want to be my friend give me food. " she said making me chuckle at the last part, oh that's good she isn't shy so I can actually talk to her...wait...do I have food on me. Denise came over to our table so I'm guessing she sits with us and my hearts suddenly drops. Ok she is something different, she is doing things to me it's surprising. After we all introduced each other, we explained the project witch was to invent something then do advertisements that the class would have to judge and that's pretty much it.

"So have you guys thought of any good ideas?" Denise asked with a smile what a cute smile " I mean we have ideas but not good ones." I replied with a smile as well " my idea was good!" Logan said in a fake offended tone " no it wasn't dude." I said seriously but still laughing which made Erick, Denise and I laugh.
