"John, please! I've had enough of this!"
"Darling, I'm-I- I'm sorry! It didn't mean anything!"
"It didn't mean anything? John, how can I trust you again? It obviously meant something if you spent the night with her! I expected you back last night after the concert, but no! You had to go out, had to get drunk, and had to hook-up with some slut off of the streets!"
"(Y/N)! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I don't know what else to say! I messed up! I made the biggest mistake of my life last night because now I'm on the verge of losing the girl that I'm madly in love with."
"I highly doubt that, John. You're just saying that to try to keep me from leaving!"
"Please don't leave, love. I'll lose my mind without you!"
"You want to know what I did last night?" You asked angrily.
John just sat on the bed, his head in his hands, the tears beginning to flow.
"I sat here sobbing two hours after you were supposed to be home and I heard the other boys coming down the hall because I knew where you were. I knew you were with another girl. George knocked on the door because he knew. He knew where you were and what you were doing and he knew that I needed someone. I sat here with George until four in the morning. FOUR IN THE MORNING, JOHN! Crying my eyes out because you didn't care enough about me to come back to me last night."
At this point, you were in tears, grabbing random things of yours from around the room and putting them into your purse.
"(Y/N), please don't leave me." John said between sobs.
"Let me change your mind, I won't do it again."
"How can I trust you, John?"
"You want to know why I did it?"
You nodded your head, waiting for some lame excuse to try and get you to stay.
John reached in the pocket of his suit pants and pulled out a little black box and opened it, revealing a beautiful ring with a diamond in the center.
"My mind said that it needed that one last night of freedom, but my heart knew better because now it's on the verge of breaking in two. I only want to be with you, (Y/N). I was so nervous about asking you to marry me, I just-I had to do something. You know I don't handle my emotions well, and I- I'm so sorry, (Y/N). Whoever she was, she was nothing compared to you. You are the most beautiful, smart, wonderful, loving, and respectful woman I have ever met and there is no one I would want to spend the rest of my life with other than you. If you'll forgive me and believe that I will never do it again, will you stay with me? And maybe marry me?" John asked, a sheepish and hopeful smile appearing on his face.
You put your purse down on the bed and knelt down in front of him. Placing your hands on his knees, you looked up into his teary eyes.
"You really didn't mean it did you?" You asked.
"You shouldn't take me back." John said, moving to put the ring back in his pocket.
You stopped his hand, taking the black box from him.
"John, everyone deserves a second chance. We all make mistakes, okay? Now, if you won't put this ring away, I would like it if you would put it on my finger."
"You're actually saying yes? After everything I've done?"
"How could I say no to the love of my life?"
John took the ring from the box and slid it onto your finger, taking your hands in his after he did so.
"Thank you for staying with me. I love you more than you will ever know." John said quietly.
"I love you too, John."
