Imagine sitting across the room from your boyfriend, John Lennon. He was wearing his Buddy Holly style glasses, which you thought were overly adorable on him, while deep in concentration on a new song he was trying to write. You heard him humming, tapping, singing quietly, thumping, basically, he was making every noise possible to try and figure out this song. You looked up from your book to watch him.
His eyebrows were knit together in focus, his glasses slightly lower on his nose from looking down, his lips clenched together.
He was the most attractive man you had ever seen.
"John, are you all right, darling? Your face looks tighter than those pants I bought last week."
"Hey, I liked those pants." He said, laughing and throwing you a wink, the lines fading from his face.
"Is that song giving you a struggle?" You asked curiously, moving from your chair to sit beside him on the couch.
"It is, love. I just can't seem to get it right."
"What do you have so far?"
"That's top secret, darling." John said slyly.
"Oh, I don't think so." You said.
You took John's face in your hands and turned him towards you. Looking him in the eye, you raised your eyebrows at him.
"Is it really, John?" You asked as you pressed your lips to his.
He tried to pull you in deeper to the kiss, but you pulled away, wanting to know what he was writing.
"The song...right, love." John said, flustered.
"Well, here's what I have so far..." He said as he began to sing.
"There are places I remember
All my life though some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places have their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I've loved them all
But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life..."
"There just needs to be something else, something to finish that line."
You thought for a moment, remembering the sweet lyrics that John had just sang, and what he often told you.
"I love you more."
"I love you more, darling."
"No, no, John. As lyrics, I love you more."
"In my life, I love you more..." He sang several times, testing out the new lyrics.
"That's perfect, love." He told you, flashing you that adorable smile of his.
"Just like you." You told him.
"I think you've got me confused with some other lad, darling. You're the perfect one."
"John, stop it."
"Stop what?" John said, nuzzling his face into your neck and placing delicate kisses there.
You didn't respond, letting John continue to kiss your neck.
He pulled away and looked you in the eyes, raising his eyebrows, just like you had earlier at him.
"Stop what, love?" He asked innocently.
"Nothing, John." You said.
"That's what I thought." John said, placing a kiss on your lips to seal the deal.
Hello, dear readers! I have a few announcements for you.
1. I've unpublished Day Tripper and Across the Universe, being that I have no motivation to write them anymore (I've lost interest), and for that I'm terribly sorry. However, this will allow me more time to write Temporary Secretary and more imagines.
2. Speaking of Temporary Secretary, it will be ending relatively soon, most likely by the end of February because there is only so far I can take it. Thank you for all the reads on Temporary Secretary, by the way.
3. Requests for this book are always open! If you want to request something, leave a comment on the last published imagine so I'll be more likely to see it!
As always, thank you for reading.
All my loving,
beatleswinspan
