Story....

Selena's POV

     Eden and Eric were both at her house, and I had hung out with them for a few hours. She thought my tattoo’s were awesome looking, and Eric said they made me look hotter. I left their house after that and went home to think. I figured out a few things, like what I need to do with Luke. No matter what he had, in a way, lied to me. Plus mom would have never lied about his overeating, but he definitely wasn’t the one killing the girls around the city. However, I had to listen to my mom and grandma and stay away from him. After my realizations from last night I went to sleep, and now here I am getting ready for school. Tonight was going to be my first real feeding. I walk down the stairs still thinking about my decisions. I decided to grab a bowl of cereal before school and head off towards Eden’s house. Grandma and Braden were already in the kitchen and Braden was making pancakes.

    “Top of the mornin’ to ya lass. Will you be havin’ some pancakes?” Braden asked.

    “Sure,” I replied before looking at grandma. “Good morning grandma. How did you sleep?”

    “I slept well darling, but Braden and I are going to find a place today. Also Braden feed your dove this morning.”

    “Thanks Braden.” He just waved back and continued making pancakes.

    “Honey, I think it would be best to have a body guard and guardian walk with you from now on,” grandma said.

    “What about when I get to school? What would I do with them then? I think I’ll be okay grandma, really.”

    “I insist Selena. The guardian is small until you need him. He’s on this necklace, so all you have to do is wear it, and the body guard will just drop you off and pick you up. He’ll be like a chauffeur.”

    “What about Eden?’

    “Of course she can be driven too darling.”

    “I don’t like it, but fine grandma.”

    “Thank you darling. It means a lot to me. I’ve decided that an incubus will be best. You should be immune to his charms, but they are very good fighters. I called him and he will be on his way. In fact I think he just pulled up.” Sure enough there was a knock on the door. I ate my last bite of pancakes and left towards the door to get this day over with. I opened the door to see an extremely attractive guy standing there. He had short brown hair and big blue eyes. He was about 6’1 and had a nice looking body. He couldn’t have been older than 21. “You must be the body guard. Let’s go pick up Eden.”

    “Yes, and whatever you say Selena. By the way, my name is Indesius, but you can call me D.”

    “I really like your name, its pretty.” Then an idea popped into my head. I needed a way to get out of being with Luke, and grandma wanted me to be protected at all times. “How would you feel about going back to school D?”

    “If it means I can guard you better and get to see more of you then I’m all for it.”

    “Good, let’s pick up Eden and get you enrolled.” With that he smiled and I have to say it was charming. I wonder if he was available? After all I would be safe with him, and he was definitely easy on the eyes,

    “I’m more then available, and I’d loved to help you out with your Luke problem.’

    “How did you..?”

    “I could see it in your eyes. They’re beautiful, and your tattoos make you look tempting.” I blushed. I couldn’t help it.

At School

    We had picked up Eden after deciding that being a pretend couple, for now at least. Eden was excited to see I found someone to go out with. D was charming and I have to admit it made sense. After all father was a incubus. When we arrived at school everyone looked at us and the car we had pulled up in. Indesius definitely had a hot looking car. It was a red mustang. I’m not sure exactly what year, I’m not good with cars, but it was nice. I walked into school and to my locker. D was in the office getting his classes to match mine exactly. I felt a presence beside me and turned to see Luke. Eden was no longer beside me, but chatting with a guy in the corner.

    “Hi Luke.”

    “Hi Selena. Here’s your English notes.”

“Thanks Luke.”

“I like your tattoos. They look good on you.”

“I like them. At first I thought they’d be too much, but they grow on you.”

“So, how was your vacation?” He smiled and I gave a small smile back. Knowing what I knew made all of this awkward.

    “It was great.” I looked passed him in time to see D walking towards me. “I also met someone really special.”

    “Who?” he asked. His voice gave away his jealousy and confusion.

    “Me,” D said from behind him. Luke swung around him and you could see the utter shock written across his face. He knew exactly what or who D was. D walked over and kissed me passionately. I couldn’t help but kiss back. Though this was our first kiss it felt like I knew his movements. I opened my mouth and let his tongue come in and explore it. He pushed me up against the locker and continued our make out session.

    “Ahem.” Luke interrupted. I pushed D back a little and saw Luke’s face. It hurt me to see it. He was ragging mad and definitely jealous. “I’m glad you’ve found someone Selena. I’ll see you in first.”

    “I think it would be best if we didn’t talk anymore Luke.”

    “Why? Because of this new boyfriend of yours?” Luke asked. For some reason his temper raised mine.

    “No Luke. It’s because I know what you are and about all your little habits. It’s not safe for me to be around you.” With that I grabbed D’s hand and left for first period.
