Dear Slackers #1: Don't Kill Me in Group Projects

Salam, Hello everyone and Happy New Year 2016 :D

Now I've got my greetings across, let's get down to business shall we?

Recently, I've tried watching Cheese In The Trap. And yes, it's a currently ongoing Korean drama adapted from a popular also ongoing Manhwa (Korean comics/manga) of the same title. And by tried watching, I meant my friend, Shana kind of dragged me into this but you know what, so far the drama seems promising. And I think the drama got me interested because of the university life setting and its realistic scenes that as a student and youth, I think at some points we all can relate to. Like the madness and running to secure class or lecture schedules so that we can avoid certain lecturer or be in the same class with our buddies and such. Honestly, as a uni student, I so could relate to that. I don't know about other uni students, have you ever face this hassle of signing up for classes? Please share your experience, thank you. And for students who are planning to go to uni, or enter college or the likes, beware, because signing up and arranging your own class schedule can be quite a challenging race. Yes, race, it's like a competition and it's so annoying. Imagine trying to fight among many people to get this one particular item on sale. Imagine the Hunger Games! Fight to the death, people! Or at least in me and my peers' case, Fight to Secure Desired Class Schedule! You know what, it is exactly like the Hunger Games. Because no one asks for this thing to happen and yet it does and now when I don't achieve that desired class timing because it's already full, I'm going to feel frustrated or disappointed for no reason. It's like I don't ask to be reaped and force to battle for survival in the name of my district?! But like in life, I have to go through this because if I don't, I won't get marks for class and similar to the movie, I'm basically just going to rot if I don't do anything. Simple.

Now look what I have done. Not again, RB, you always ramble without getting near to the point. Alright, I'm sorry, okay? Anyway the drama is quite interesting and when I say interesting, it's not heavily loaded with unrealistic romances. I mean like why get flowers when you can have an awesome Senior/Senpai/Sunbae (or whatever you call your hero) to save you from malfunctioning assignments and such! Goals, people! Do that future bf/fiancé/husband. Support me when I'm in the brink of an educational/career breakdown! Basically, the drama is quite realistic and the main female lead is quite level-headed and not lame, in other words, being in a relationship never really occur to her, which makes her stand out from other sappy damsel in distress ladies I've seen.

But here's what got me the idea to write this piece tonight. And I should've done it ages ago. If you want to watch or at least I recommend you to watch at least until or just episode 3, because in that episode, it PRACTICALLY sums up of the annoying and painful things dealing with slackers in group project assignments.

Now, the plane is starting to take off, buckle your seatbelt guys.

Okay, I'm not such a diligent person either, hence the inconsistent Wattpad updates (I'm working on it guys) but there are people in the society whose laziness are parasites to people who want to do their best and sometimes I wish slackers are considered criminals so that I can report you to the police because you rob off my innocent and clean efforts. Sheez...

Gosh, I don't even know where to begin. See, how many slackers I've been through and this is just my foundation and uni life I'm flashbacking at the moment. Don't get my mind crawling retrieving old memories in secondary school.

The strange thing about slackers in group project, as I realize, is that at the beginning, there was only one person who's the actual slacker but as time goes by before the project's due, almost everyone in your group is a slacker. It's like a virus, scratch that, it's cancer! Like I've heard somewhere that our bodies all have cancer cell, except if it's that reactive and starts to grow, then, it becomes hazardous to our health and we have to worry and such (Medic/Science student, please correct me if I'm wrong). So slackers are capable of that. Wow, to slackers out there, YOU ARE A THREAT TO MY EXISTENCE.
