Chapter 3

I stood there for a little bit,I was blushing. Usually when I did that I liked someone. I haven't liked anyone sense the 9th grade maybe....? Wait....I was in high school it was my junior year.....that was 2 years ago? Maybe not, I don't know..... I couldn't think straight he was just really......cute?hot!? What ever you want to call it.... I must have been drooling......this is embarrassing. He had brown chocolate like eyes like mine where. His hair was a shady blond ish brown. He was just perfect...
"Ummm..... hello?" The boy said
"H- Hi" I stuttered
He laughed.. His voice was very cute? If that makes sense.....
We both stood there in awkward silence
"So....." He said
"Oh, yeah sorry." I said awkwardly
"I made you these cookies, if you want them? I just did-" he cut me off
"Yeah, you don't have to explain it to me." He held out his arms
I placed the plate of cookies on his arms. "Whats your name?" I asked
"The name is Jacen, my friends call me Jace for short."
"Oh, cool?" I said weirdly
"What's yours?" He said laughing
"My name is Ava." I said with a giggle
"Cu-" he cut himself off
"I'm going to back, and hang out with my family if that's alright" he said
"Oh yeah, that's fine." I said as he was slowly closing the door
I turned around and started to go toward my house, then I heard the door open. I looked back. He was standing in the door way. The sun was almost down. I looked at him confused.
"Would you, do you?, want to come inside?" He said scratching his neck
"Sure, I'm just going to check in with my mom for a second."
"Yeah, that's cool!"
I crossed the street and walked into my house, I felt like he was watching because I didn't hear the door close. That was good sign maybe. I walked inside and my mom was sleeping, I wrote a note on are island area, then I went up to my room and grabbed my phone and touched up my mascara but not to much. Then I crossed the street and went to his house. I rang the door bell because the door was closed. He came to the door and opened it.
"Come in" he said with his hand out like he was introducing someone. His house was so gorgeous, there was a chandelier hanging from the celling and the stair well going up like I remembered Emma's house. I smiled, I realized that they have done some changes already.
"Do you want to meet my family?" He said anxiously
"Yeah." I replied
He showed me his dad, mom, grandma which meant a lot to him because when he was younger he would go to her house a lot with his cousins, but ever sense his grandpa died, they haven't sense.. Which is kind of sad.... They wanted to move here to get away. He didn't have any siblings but he had a dog, which greeted me when I walked into the kitchen where they all where. It looked to be a creamed colored lab mixed with a golden retriever. Very pretty dog.
"What's his or her name?" I asked
"It is a girl and her name is sandy" he said
"We call her that because we actually found her at a beach, we used to live in Florida and we went to a beach and she was just running on the beach." He said laughing
"That cute, I love animals," I replied to him
"Me to." He said looking into my eyes and smiling
The grandma interrupted and said, "Ok you to love birds, Jace why don't you go show this girl the rest of the house."
"My name is Ava." I said
"What a beautiful name!" the grandma replied
I nodded and then he started bringing me to the living room. He apologized for his grandma.
"Don't apologize, it's ok Jace"
"Oh, so your my friend now?"
I thought, but I might want to be more than "a friend". I could feel my checks burning.
" I guess so..." I said with a smile, my face might be red
"I know this house left to right so it would probably be a waste of time showing me around." I said with a cocky tone
"How?" He asked
"My friend Emma used to live here, we would have sleepovers and stuff." I said
"Oh." He replied
"Do you have a phone?" I asked
"Yeah, how about you?"
"Well of course I do..."
I told him my number.
He entered it into his phone then gave me his. I entered it into mine as well.
I looked at the time on my phone, it was 9. Crap........
"I'm going to get going, if that's ok." I said
"Yeah,I will see you at school tomorrow right?"  He said with a cirrus tone
"Yeah of course." I replied with a smile
I walked out and I heard him shut the door. He was also smiling.......
