Run Away

Chapter 7

Jacen's POV

I walked to room 207, my home room. Mrs. Star was her name. I also had her for Science. I began to wonder about Ava, I sat down at some table. Everyone looked at me, like any new kid. They kind of looked at me like I was going to be a mistake. No one sat by me, I saw that Madi girl that Ava was talking to this morning. She was sitting behind me. Of course the teacher introduced me. It was kind of embarrassing,especially because all the guys where looking at me. She counted and then said,
"So we are missing Ava then?" She said
I looked back at Madi and she just shrugged her shoulders.
"Wait, I saw her this morning." I explained
"Maybe she went home." Mrs. Star explained
The rest of the home room was boring, we did nothing.
"Mrs. Star? Could I get a drink?" I asked
"Sure." She answered
I walked out in the hall way and looked down the hall way. There was lots of lockers, it was like a line of lockers for a hundred miles, but not really. There was a few janitor closets. I heard one open and I started to walk toward it, I heard a loud scream. I started running. I found it... it was a black janitor closet but it was unlocked. I opened it and saw Ava laying on the ground. There was a boy standing and looking at her but then stared at me. His fist was down by his side, breathing heavily.
"What?" He said angrily
"What? That's what you ask me? There is a girl lying on the ground and you ask me what?" I yelled
He looked at me then pushed me to the side and ran.
"You can't just leave me here!" I yelled
He was running down the hall way and ran into the bathroom. I look at Ava, she looked nocked out. I kicked the kick stand out so that the door would stay open. I ran to my home room.
"Sorry, but you should check the cameras." I said grabbing my back pack
There mouths dropped and I ran out. I went into the janitors closet and grabbed Ava like a picture you would take when you get married. I also grabbed her backpack and ran down the hall way. I looked back and my teacher was talking to are school officer. She was pointing at me, I tried to run faster but I could feel the officer catching up to me. I was almost out the door when I realized I didn't drive here. Crap, I turned around and looked at the officer he looked young. In fact he looked like my cousin, Eddie?
"Eddie?" I said
"Jacen?" He said
I set down Ava and she was still nocked out wow. Her face looked bruised.
"Could you do me a favor and bring me to my house?" I asked
"Sure." He said while picking up Ava and walking me to his cop car
I sat in the back seat, and Ava laid on the window. Still nocked out.... I stared at her while talking to my cousin. When we got to my house I said thanks and carried Ava into my living room and set her down on the couch covering her with a blanket.
I went to the island and sat down. I found a note on the counter, I opened it up. I began to read it and I burst into tears.
