Leah seemed out of it for the rest of the night. I was going to kill Ryan on Monday! I don't think Leah slept very well. When she woke up at six in the morning, she had black circles under her eyes. She was very quiet and mopey. She took a shower and ate some cereal before leaving.
"Thanks for having me, Kay," she said, quietly. "See you Monday." With that, she took off toward her house. I sighed. Hmm, maybe Jason could come over today. I pulled out my phone, and sent him a text.
"Hey, baby. Wanna come hang out?" I sent.
Ten minutes later, I got a reply. "Yep, be there in 10!" I sighed and went to ge dressed. I had showered and straightened my hair when Leah was here. I slipped off my robe and went into my closet. I picked out a striped black and white v-neck tee shirt, with white skinny jeans and black converse. I did my make up and cleaned up my room. I heard the doorbell ring. Jason! I dashed down the stairs and to the front door, yanking it open. There stood Jason. He wore blue jeans, a red and black plaid button down shirt, and black Suprahs. He looked amazing.
"Hey," I said, smiling and hugging him. He hugged me back. I grabbed his hand and pulled him inside the house, an to the living room. We sat down on the sofa. Jason leaned forward, and kissed me gently.
"So, what are we doing today?" Jason asked. I shrugged and looked out the window. It had begun to rain.
"Let's just stay here and watch t.v.," I said. He nodded. I turned the t.v. on to the VMA's. This was my favorite award show, EVER! we watched it for a while and just talked. And kissed, mostly kissed.
"Can I use your bathroom?" Jason asked.
"Sure. Up the stairs and first door on the left." He nodded and left. I sat watching the VMA's. Lady Gaga just won best female artist. Psh, that should have been Katy Perry! I kept watching. Twenty minutes past, and Jason still wasn't back. Hmmm... Maybe he was lost? The house was huge! I'll go look for him. I left the living room and walked upstairs. I looked in the bathroom. Not there. Not in my bedroom either. I looked in almost every room, until I heard a noise coming from the room at the end of the hall. My parents room. What?
I walked slowly and quietly to their room. The door was slightly ajar. I peeked inside. Jason was kneeling by my dad's nightstand, going threw papers. I threw the door open and stormed in.
"Jason!" I yelled. "What are you doing!?"
"Kayleigh, it's not what it looks like." I shoved him out of the room and shut the door behind me. Jason stared at me.
"Why are you going through my parents stuff?" I asked, highly suspicious.
"I..I...i can't explain right now," he said. "But I need you to let me into those files, Kayleigh." he stepped toward me.
"No," I said firmly. I didn't know what those files were, but if he wanted them, they must be important.
"Please?" he asked. I shook my head. He sighed.
"I didn't want to have to do this, Kay," he said, reaching into his pocket.
I think my stomach fell out of my butt. He pulled out a gun. A freaking gun. I was dead. He walked toward me, his finger on the trigger. "Move," he whispered. I shook my head. He shoved the barrel of the gun into my chest. "I'll do it," he said. "I don't want to, but I will."
"Fine," I said. "I don't care. Shot me. At least I'll die without having to rot in hell." he looked hurt. He sighed, pain in his eyes. Slowly he lowered the gun. I took this moment to act. I shoved him down and climbed on top of him. I grabbed the gun and stood up, pulling him with me. When he was upright, I shoved him down the stairs, and toward the front door.
"Kayleigh!" he yelled. "I'm sorry! I-I don't know what came over me!" yeah right. I kept shoving him, forcing him to the door.I yanked the door open and pushed him out. He stopped the door with his foot, as imwas shutting it.
"Please," he whispered. "I'm so sorry. You just don't understand." I began to cry.
"Move your foot," I whispered. He did as he was told. I slammed the door shut, and locked it. I put my back against the door, and slid down it. Sitting on the floor, crying my eyes out, I heard nothing but the pouring rain, and Jason's yelling.
"I'll stay here all night!" he yelled. "I'll stay here in the rain until you forgive me!"
He wasn't kidding. Hours passed, and I peaked out the living room window. He was sitting on my porch, crying hard. I had never seen Jason cry. Ever. But here he was, crying over me. Despite the fact that he tried to kill me, I still loved him.
Wait. I loved him. O! I never loved anyone, and now I love the boy who tired to kill me!? What happened to never wanting love? I remembered the woman from the park. That's probably how my future with Jason would look. I couldn't let myself love him. It's time to move on.
-Soo! Whatcha thinking?!? I wrote this during the VMA's, so it sucks. :p sorry, i was distracted by Justin Bieber!!
