Ch.30 Alexander

Alcaeus p.o.v. Well shit. Why did Chaos choose him out of all people!? "Percy?!" He asked, shocked. "You're Alcaeus?!" I nodded. And his face paled. "I have no idea why Chaos chose you out of all the people that he could have, but I'm feeling nice today so I'm giving you a minute to explain to me what you did, and why I should trust you." He looked even paler if that's possible, but that could also be from the death glares that Amata and Artifex were sending his way. "Time's started." I said. "You may begin." 

"I'm so sorry Percy. I am a horrible despicable person and I don't think for one second that what I did to you will ever be okay or forgivable. I was jealous that you got so much attention and were praised, and honestly I just wanted someone to look at me in the way that everyone looked at you. As if I was a hero, loved, and wanted. And I understand that that didn't help me at all and took the things you held dear to you, and it's all my fault." He gulped. "If you can't forgive me I'll understand, and if you want me to leave I will. But just know that I regret what I did to you and I will try to fix this." I nodded. But I wasn't close to forgiving him yet. But maybe, just maybe, he had earned himself another chance. He saw that I wasn't saying anything, so he started to walk towards the door. "Stop." I said. He turned around. "Your name shall be Culpa. Fault. I think it suits you. I may not have forgiven you yet, you must earn that, but you have a second chance so don't screw up. You will be in my squadron. Now go train with the others, I must speak with Lord Chaos." He nodded and walked away. Now it's time to talk to Chaos.

5 Minutes Later

Still Al's p.o.v. I walked at a brisk pace down the hall and burst into the throne room where Chaos was watching a live feed of the Universal News. He heard me enter and he sighed. "I see that Alex introduced himself. I'm sorry son but you must deal with him. He is a good soul, I have seen it in him, the remorse and despair he carries around with him. He has had a hard life." I snorted. "Oh really," I said. "How hard can his life have been." I knew I was being unreasonable, but I mean, the person in question destroyed my life. I have the right to be a little angry. "Fine son, if you really don't think he has known terrible hardship, I will show you some of the struggles he has faced." Good. THis should be interesting.

INTO CULPA'S HISTORY

Third person p.o.v. A man was holding a baby in his arms. "I don't want a god damned child. Why did you leave me like this you bitch!? I loved you!" All of this he yelled as a gorgeous woman drove away in a very nice car. The man then looked down at the boy in his arms. "Well what am I supposed to do now you little piece of shit." The scene then shifted through a couple scenes showing drunken anger and cruel words being said to the young boy throughout the years. Finally came a scene where the boy, who looked about 12 was sitting inside of a small, vile house.                                                                         A man stumbled through the door into the disgusting pigsty of a shack. "BOY! WHERE ARE YOU YOU ASS?!" A boy who was starting to resemble how Alex looks now ran into the room with terror in his eyes. "Yes father." He stuttered. "DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD I WORK TO SUPPORT YOU AFTER YOUR MOTHER ABANDONED YOU!? HOW MUCH I"VE SACRIFICED?" His voice lowered to a hiss. " All because your mother didn't want you." Alex flinched. "Do you know what, you are a plague on this family, know one will ever love you! And right now I don't think you deserve to live here anymore after costing me so much. Get out of my house you little bastard. You despicable creature. GET OUT!" The man roared as Alex scrambled out of the front door and ran. The scenes started to shift more rapidly showing scenes of terror and sadness as the boy grew into the shoes he is in now. Finally they stopped.

Alcaeus p.o.v. I couldn't believe what had happened to him, it also explained a few things. Like his desire to be loved and important. He had never felt that way before in his life. Never felt acceptance or care. I certainly know that the only thing that got me through my tough times was my mother's love, and he didn't have that presence. I pitied him. "Now do you understand Percy," I wasn't as upset with that name as I had been previously. "I feel that he deserves a second chance, much like you son." I nodded. "I understand father. Though I have not forgiven him yet, for that will take time." He nodded, understanding. "Thank you father for showing this to me, now I must return to training my new recruits so that they will be ready to join the quest again as we are returning in a day and a half." He nodded and dismissed me.

SOMEWHERE IN THE DARKNESS

Unknown p.o.v. I groaned as I sat up. I was in a dark room. What happened? My mistress walked into the room and brought with her, her mesmerizing eyes and another cloud of darkness. "Lady Nyx, where am I? What happened." I asked. She waved a tendril of darkness towards me and in a flash i remembered everything, but there was something new to the memories, Nyx had joined our souls together while I was asleep. I'm now connected to the Lady of the Night, fun. "Welcome home Brittany, you and I will have lots of fun together."
