Ch.36 Where the Eternal Flame Still Burns

Hey y'all! I'm trying to upload a few times before Summer starts so that I can edit and not feel like a horrible author. The war begins in this chapter, get ready! I am preparing the battle scenes, and I hope you enjoy what's to come, even though many of you may possibly hate me after the next chapter. One day after the meeting

Alcaeus p.o.v. Annabeth is still pissed that I judo-flipped her, but I don't really care. She broke my heart once, she can deal with a little pain. I was walking out of my room when Artifex ran toward me down the hall. "AL WE ARE OVER MT.OLYMPUS LIKE THE ORIGINAL MT.OLYMPUS AND IT LOOKS LIKE WE HAVE COMPANY!!!" Shit. "Turn on the shield Artifex! We cannot be detected or we are all dead." He nodded and ran to notify the others. The war is beginning. I ran to my room and put on my cloak, grabbed some weapons, and IM'd camp to notify them that we are beginning the war. Then I contacted Aether. His glowing face (literally) popped into my view. "Lord Aether, Chaos notified me that you had some new recruits coming in to help in this battle, and he also told me about your crush on her." He got a little red, looks like someone's embarrassed. "Alcaeus, I have recruited many more of the good primordials, and our job will be to defeat our brethren, you will have to kill our mother though, she should be defeated by you, besides, none of the other primordials want to face her, sorry... And you cannot tell anyone about her." "Okay Aether, I will make sure to keep my lips sealed, and of course I approve just so you know." He smiled. "Now the primordials on our side are..."

Annabeth p.o.v. Leo, well I guess he's Artifex now, ran down the hallway yelling that there are monsters on Mt.Olympus and to get ready for battle. I ran to my room and grabbed my baseball cap, three daggers in case I lose one, and I threw on my armor and put my hair up into a ponytail. Time for war.

Amata/Piper p.o.v. I heard from Artifex that we would be fighting as soon as we got into range of the enemy, so I grabbed Katoptris and put on my armor and new cloak. I am ready.

Back to Al's p.o.v. The rest of the crew had gathered in the meeting hall and were ready to fight. I quickly IMed camp and began speaking to the gods. "I need 6 of you major Olympians to protect camp and about half of you non -olympian gods." They nodded. "Now you other gods will come and fight with this quest at Mount Olympus. We are also being joined by a few Primordials who would like to see the darkness vanquished, so when you see them fighting with us, do not attack, help. They are Aether, Hemera, Tethys, Anake, Ourea, Thalassa, Thesis, and of course my father Chaos." I pretended not to notice my ex-father, Poseidon's, flinch when I called Chaos my father. "Now remember, each god will have to go up against any giants with a child of their descent, so do not try to take on any giants by yourselves." I said, looking at the campers. "Now the Warriors who have been staying with you all at camp will stay to defend the camp, and lead you all into battle. I do not know when camp will be attacked, but stay ready." Then the ship began to descend onto the ground about half a mile away from Mt.Olympus. It is time for war.

-MEANWHILE-

Brittany's p.o.v.  I was still trapped in my own head, watching the battle preparations take place. My mistress had been training all of the new demigod recruits and the primordials who had joined our side. There were about 25 campers who had joined us, and many, unsurprisingly, were children of minor gods and goddesses who were not valued at camp. Our primordials were; Oceanus, Pontus, Tartarus, Erebus, Eros, Phusis, Nesoi, and of course, Nyx. That feeble Alcaeus was dead after I had poisoned him, so there was no one who was powerful enough to beat us other than Chaos himself. Mistress was about to speak, so I focused back on the screen in my head. The other monsters had gathered and were all quiet waiting for Mistress to speak. "It is time for the tyranny of the gods' reign to end!" She shouted as the monsters cheered. "The group of questers are approaching now, and there is no time to waste, we are better prepared and better trained than those campers and puny gods, be confident, be strong, for if you are those things, light will fall, and darkness will reign for eternity!!!" She yelled. All of the assembled cheered and whooped, and began to grab weapons and tools for the battle. "I have talked to our general who is heading to the Camp at this time, and they are almost ready to begin the advance. It is time for a change, and we are the ones who will make the world a better place! Now finish gathering your gear and form your ranks." There was a little scrambling, but finally everyone was ready. "Move out troops!" She yelled. It is time for war.

I am preparing to begin editing, and then I will be leaving on a trip, but I will try to update as much as possible. If there is a bit of a delay in between uploads I apologize, but I am going to try my best to have this story finished by the end of August. - KAT
