Hey y'all it's KAT! It's been so long since I've been able to update since I've been in Israel for most of this summer! I've missed being able to write and edit these chapters. This book is going to be finished up in the next three or four chapters, and then I will be beginning work on a Harry Potter fanfic. The dedications for this chapter go to psychodjap, PonyLover14, starfire31803, DemiwizardInitiate, W33dman, FanFictongirl, JohnnyVogelien, adwoanyanko, kevinscix, and sonoftheseajackson! I hope you all enjoy this chapter! -KAT

Al p.o.v. We began to descend toward the bottom of the mountain a few miles from where the monsters had grouped, and I was ready. We were gathered talking about strategy, when the gods arrived to help us. We needed Poseidon, Zeus, Athena, Aphrodite, Hephaestus, and Ares, as they were needed to help defeat the giants with their non-Chaos warrior offspring. I was not worried about death in battle and neither were Alexis or Bios, because we had been made into Primordials, but I was worried for my Chaos warriors who only had partial immortality like the immortal demigods. I had lost so many people in my life who I cared about, and I really don't want to lose anyone else.

We all gathered in the dining room after we had finished our battle preparations, when suddenly Aether messaged me. "Hey Al, we've got a few preordains coming to help us and just to make sure you know who not to attack they will arrive on the ship in a few seconds, I suggest all of you Chaos Soldiers and demigods close your eyes, but Al, Alexis, and Bios, you all should be fine. Everyone did as they were told and in four or five seconds I saw them flash in. I knew them from the council meetings that Chaos held during my time with him. They were Aether, Tethys, Anake, Chaos, and Thalassa. The others; Thesis, Ourea, and Hemera were going to Camp to help protect the demigods there. They only needed a few primordials because Camp had the best fortifications and number of warriors inside. Our ship landed with a soft thump onto the earth. "We have arrived everyone, now do not forget our mission. We are to fight our way up the mountain to where Hestia resides at the hearth of the eternal flame. Nyx should be stationed at that location as the last line of defense, but leave her to me. It is my mission to defeat her. Chaos soldiers wear your cloaks, we do not need to have any monsters come after us based on personal vendettas. Now, be safe and careful, and do not show that you are afraid. Let's do this." I finished as Tethys opened the door. Time for the battle.

We portaled to the edge of the forest, to where the last place our magic wasn't restrained by Nyx's force. There we encountered the first line of monsters led by my all time favorite monster, Beef Head, oops I mean the minotaur. He smelled my scent, growled and charged. I swiftly dodged and stabbed my sword through his stomach. He exploded into golden dust. Unfortunately, this prompted the rest of the monsters to charge. At once I was hacking, slashing, and dismembering the monsters, and clearing a path for myself to get up the mountain. It only took a few minutes for me to make it through the first wave, though if I had my powers, I could have easily destroyed the entire army of monsters by now. I looked up the mountain and saw that the first third had been covered in traps and holes, in which a few monsters had managed to fall in during their charge. Then I looked behind me. Everyone was still standing though some had cuts and scrapes on them and looked a bit worse for wear. I led them up the mountain and made sure none of the traps were activated, and no one was hurt. Time for the next test.

We walked a bit further, and then we encountered the giants. They were standing brutishly on the line of boulders surrounding the stairs which led up to the top of the mountain. They at once charged and the primordials followed me along with the rest of the Chaos soldiers, that was a fight for the demigods and gods to handle. We walked slowly through the giants onslaught, not engaging them, and leaving them to go after the gods, like we had planned. Our toughest challenge yet was approaching, the primordials, my evil brethren. The primordials we would be facing were Oceanus, Tartarus, Erebus, Eros, Nesoi, Pontus, and Phusis. I had met them all as well in prior meetings, and it wasn't difficult to figure out that they'd be fighting with Nyx. They charged at us, and we charged against them, the only problem was that they didn't have their powers either. Our weapons were coated in Chaos metal, to make them fade. My father stood next to me as we fought our fellow primordials. Tartarus charged me while Erebus charged Chaos. Our swords clanged and at once we were engaged in an intense battle. He laughed at me. "Young demigod, you stand no chance against me. I haven't been defeated by one of your kind in years." I smiled back. "Would it please you to know that I am not a demigod." He looked confused, but easily snapped out of it as I nicked his arm with my sword. He yelled in pain. "I don't care what you are, I am a primordial, you cannot vanquish me!" I laughed once again and blocked a jab to my chest. "Watch me." I saw the opening in his defense, the left side of his chest, and took the opportunity. I saw his eyes go wide as the sword entered his abdomen and he screamed in agony. "Who are you child?." He whispered, and I knew he was going to fade soon. I lifted my hood and stared at him, his eyes went wide. "My name is Alcaeus, formerly known as Percy Jackson. Now goodbye." And he faded. I looked around and saw that the others were still battling there fellow primordials, though my father looked like he was just toying with Erebus.

I raced up the hill, but I heard a cry from somewhere down below me. I saw Jason lying on the ground. A body already lying next to him, Jake, that poor son of Neptune who joined us at the beginning of the quest because he was the only available candidate at the time. He had mostly kept to himself during the quest, and slept a great deal of the time, but I couldn't help feeling responsible for his death, and Jason's. I was so caught up in my rumination that I didn't hear Jensen's cry until it was almost too late. I jumped to the left, but it was not fast enough.I felt the sword slice across my back and plunge into my right side, I grunted in pain, but managed to stay on my feet. I turned around and saw Brittany. She smiled as I muttered. "You're supposed to be dead." "Oh but so were you, and you're about to die for real very soon. This blade," she looked at her sword which was covered in my ichor "is poisoned." A chill ran down my spine as I realized that this wasn't Brittany, this was Nyx. I heard a shout from below as the others noticed that Brittany was still alive. I knew what was going to happen before it did. Distracted, Jensen had left his side open to the giant he was facing, Damasen, my old friend from my time in Tartarus, and in one move of his imperial gold axe, Damasen swung and made contact with Jensen. I turned back to Brittany and for a second, she turned back into herself. "Jensen!" She yelled, before Nyx regained control. "Stupid girl," she muttered. "I should have let you die."
