Sister Mary had a series of seizures and she was rushed to the hospital, a caretaker shoved Pete and I both in the same cell, not knowing our records. We didn't hear her lock the door. I wanted to just slide open the door as fast as I could and leave with Pete and have our "happily ever after."

So I did it.

Everything felt like it was slow motion, Pete and I ran out of the men's cell hall and into the main room, we turned a sharp left and left the asylum. Multiple police officers were outside because of Sister Mary, but then again it could have been of all the complaints from neighboring buildings. I hope that this place gets shut down.
They shot our way, but we dodged the bullets. My car was still in the parking lot, thank god.

Pete jumped in shot gun and I drove off, faster than we probably needed.

***

Pete was asleep on my couch, I was sitting at the kitchen table.
I stared at the clock, processing what I just did.

(A/N: short chapter sorry, I'll probably update again later today.)
