I Will Never Let You Go

"VI WATCH OUT!" I screamed as I pushed her out of the way of the mutant bugs coming towards her.

This is strange. Vi never lets her guard down during a mission.

"Hey are you okay?" I ask. She's about to say something but we were interrupted by a yellow disc zooming past us.

"Hey. Mission now, talking later." Gogo says as she zooms toward the villain controlling the mutant bugs.

"Hey whats with you today? Is something going on?" I ask as we walk out of the police station where we turned in the criminal.

"Nothing's going on. I'm just deep in thought."

"Oh. Okay." Vi then stands up.

"I'm gonna head home now. I'll see you guys next time." She says as she leaves.

I try to chase after her. "WAIT VI-" I'm stopped by Honey Lemon.

"Let me go after her."

"You don't think you're the only one who thinks Vi is acting strange." She says as she releases her hand on my shoulder.

"That's exactly why we need to go after her!" I almost scream.

"Hiro, I know you're worried about Vi. We all are. But there are just some things Vi doesn't want to talk about. If we try to make her tell us, it'll make things worse for her. We all have secrets we don't want anyone to know. I know you can relate to that right?" Honey Lemon says calmly.

Yeah. I can relate to that.

"So you're saying we shouldn't help her?" I say a bit irritated.

"I'm saying, wait for the right time to help Vi. When she's cooled off and ready to talk."

I sigh.

"I'm sorry Honey. But I have to go after her. I can't stand her being this way." With that I run to the direction Vi was headed.

I can't get his voice out of my head. Its haunting me. I shouldn't be thinking about this too much... I mean, I almost got poisoned by mutant bugs because I was so deep in thou-

BAM!

DID I SERIOUSLY JUST RUN INTO THE LIGHT POST?!?! I think as I rub my forehead.

Dang that's gonna leave a mark....

"You should've came with me."

AGHH GET OUT OF MY HEAD. I sighed. Why won't his voice leave my mind. Is this his doing. Or... Am I just paranoid...

"Did you miss me?" I whip around and got ready to fight.

"Have you made your decision yet?" Said the man in the Kabuki Mask

"I-I told you no." Why am I stuttering?

He tilted his head. "Are you afraid of me?"

I don't answer. Why don't I answer? Am I really afraid of him?

"Well I have come to change your mind. And you will be my bride." He takes out a remote.

Is it what I think it is.

"Is that..."

"The remote controlling Julia? Yes."

Just what is he doing?

"If you marry me not only will you get this remote and free Julia. I'll also promise not to kill your family."

What.

He shows me a screen showing my family tied up in a dark room. Mom and Dad both have blood on their faces.

"Did you beat my parents?" I feel anger rising inside me.

"Perhaps. But if you decide to misbehave. I'll definitely kill them."

If I go with this guy, my family won't die, and Julia will be free. But I have to marry this lunatic. Fine I'll "marry" him, save my family, and get the hec out of his lair.

"So what do you say, Violet Parr?"

"I'll go." I can feel his wicked smile behind his mask.

"VIOLET!" I hear behind me. I look back to see it is Hiro.

"H-Hiro."

I see Vi. She's talking to some dude in a Kabuki mask. Is this why she's been strange the whole day? Because of this guy?

"VIOLET!" I scream.

She turns around. "H-Hiro." She looks down with tears rolling down her face. "I'm sorry."

"What? Why are you sorry?"

"She's coming with me." Said the man in the Kabuki mask. "Sorry you won't be able to get a wedding invitation."

WHAT? WEDDING INVITATION?

"My dear we must go now."

"Okay." Vi says quietly. But she drops something.

"WAIT!" I try to grab Vi but before I knew it they disappeared in a cloud of smoke.

"VI!" I yelled. But it was too late.

Damn it! I was too late! It's obvious she didn't want to go with him. So there must've been some reason she went.  I think as I punch the ground, making it crack.

Then I notice a black remote that Vi dropped.

The nuerotransitive! I picked it up. If Vi left this for me, that means she wants me to free Juila. And because Juila was controlled by that guy in the Kabuki mask. She can tell us about him and I can save Vi!

I pick up the nuerotransitive and begin walking towards Julia's house.

And that guy's voice. There's something about his voice that gives me chills..
