15. Heart's Haiku

The depleting kiss,

Solemn touch of apathy.

The three little words,

Ringing in dimly dark blue.

The wooing of hearts,

The remembrance of us,

When love's lust tremored,

And above us stars shimmered.

Late into those nights,

When your eyes were all I saw,

And laughter consumed,

Ambling amoretti's hall.

Clasping together,

We thought we'd last forever.

Draining red in us,

We were pained, striped of trust,

The world rusted us,

Changing our color, stained brown.

Never again lovers,

Our love never matched any other.

The past is our love

Packed and old but still unfound

Not blotted to us

But something in regression.
