I decide to meet up with Carter on Saturday so that I have time to heal. The rest of the school day was boring, the guys didn't ask me anything but they did seem tense. Tami, completely oblivious to the lunch time tension, chatted and basically held up a one ended conversation with a few 'mhmm's' and 'yea's' from us.

I throw my bag beside the door when I get home and slowly limp up to my room. Kyle was right, it is extremely hot, especially inside the house. Giving me a limp was risky especially from Katey, everybody knows that she is the only one that truly hates me, anyone else just picks on me to get on her good side. I would love for her to get caught but she would blame it on me and I'd be in even deeper shit.

I take off my jacket, after making sure that the blinds were closed, and look at myself in the mirror. Well I can say one thing for certain, they got me good. It looks even worse then it did before. More bruises are starting to form everywhere they kicked and punched.

I look down at my combat boots and know straight away that it is going to hurt like hell to get them off. I set to the task anyway, slowly pulling the boot off of my swollen ankle. I take  my sock off as well and limp over to the first aid kit that I haven't needed to use in two years.

"Fucking hell, those two will be the death of me" I murmur, finding a bandage buried in amongst the other supplies. I take it out and limp back to my bed, sitting on the edge I start to wrap the bandage around my ankle like Selena taught me to. After it is wrapped,  I put antiseptic on any open wounds then pack everything away.

I take off my hat before slowly and painfully changing into a singlet and a loose, cool cardigan. I take my bracelets off and head down to the kitchen for a glass of water.

Well, it begins again.

Saturday came in a blur. Katey and Cade left me alone for the rest of the week, mostly because the guys were always hanging around. I still haven't told them what happened, all they know is that I was in a lot of pain for a few days. Sure I feel a little bad but I can't burden them with my petty high school drama.

Carter and I decided to meet up at the park just down the street. It's an overcast day and I can tell that it is going to rain soon, oh well. I walk down the road in my faded grey high wasted shorts, white singlet and leather jacket towards the path. I have the song 'Emperors New Clothes' by Panic! At the Disco stuck in my head because it just came out and now I'm obsessed with it.

I enter the park at sit down at the place that we said we were going to meet. I take out my phone and roll my eyes at the text that Kyle had sent.

From: Kyle
You left your house, where are you?

I sigh and reply that I was at the park and I would be gone a few hours. I see Carter out of the corner of my eye and I turn to wave at him. His smile seems a little bit forced as he waves back. When he gets close enough to talk instead of shout, I inquire about it.

"Why do you seem, what's the phrase? At war with yourself?" I ask still watching him

"Do you trust me?"

"I guess"

"Then I am so so sorry"

I look at him confused before I feel a cloth covering my mouth. My struggling is futile considering I'm being held by a vampire, sorry a 'descendant of Nosferatu'. The last thing I see is a slight sprinkle of rain before everything goes completely black.

I wake up in a bedroom, four poster bed, silk sheets, flat screen tv, rows of book selves, a gigantic sound system, a laptop on a desk and two doors which I assume lead into an ensuite and a closet. The whole room was in the theme of black and red, it don't have windows though which I found just a little suspicious. All in all it is an extremely impressive room, I'm just wondering how I got here and how long I've been out.

I slowly sit up and scan over the room again taking note of all possible exits and weapons, just in case. It looks like the only exit is the door which is unfortunate. I am just about to get out of the heavenly bed to check if the door is locked when the door is slowly opened and in comes a girl who is around fourteen.

"Princess, I apologise, I did not realise that you had risen" she does a small curtsy and never once does she meet my eye.

"Princess? Where am I?"

"You are at the king's castle" she says while laying a folded red towel down onto the coffee table.

"Okay... If I may, how old are you?" I ask, fourteen seems too young to be working as a servant but how should I know?

"Truthfully princess? I am one hundred and twenty-four years old"

Well it makes sense now that there are no windows, if she isn't a servant then she won't have been turned by the stronger descendants, therefore she would burn in the sunlight.

Wait, if I am in a vampire castle, that means...

He's found me.
