Alex's POV:
"...and as soon as I walked out of the bakery, I dropped it!"
"Hahahahaha!"
"So, I walked in the bakery again and the guy started yelling at me in Spanish!"
"Did they bake you another cake?"
"Nope, the guy said that five was the limit" she grinned and took a bite from her lasagna. I ordered the same thing but she seemed to be enjoying it more than me. She took a sip of lemonade, cleaned the corner of her mouth and stood up.
"I'm going to the lady's room" I nodded, this was the perfect moment. I waved at our waiter.
"is it time?"
"yup, bring it" he walked over and came back with another waiter, both holding the cake by the sides. they set it down on the middle of the table and i looked at it for a momment. It's white with the words would you be my girlfriend? written with some kind of red jelly in the middle. I looked at the waiters who seemed to be waiting for my opinion. "Perfect" just then Jenny walkout of the bathroom, she waked to the table with a eyebrow raised. She stared at the waiters, then at me, then at the cake, then back at me.
"So, wanna make whatever we had official?" It was true, we never actually knew what we were..... Well at least I didn't.
She grinned "I don't know, are you going to take me dancing?"
"I can't dance..."
"I'll teach you"
"Alright then we shall go dancing. But only if I get a yes from the pretty"
"Then the pretty girl says yes" I went over to her and gave her a tight hug, she turned to look at my face. We looked in each other's eyes for a long moment and before I could even do anything she leaned and kissed me. Just for a little moment I felt the same butterflies as before. Those butterflies that made me feel in heaven. Those butterflies that made me feel like nothing else in the world matters anymore. And in those two seconds nothing did. It was just me and her. I put put her down and she turned to the table.
"Is that chocolate?" She said pointing at the cake.
"Yup"
"Let's go eat!"

Jennifer's POV:
I've thought of it for a while. I asked myself the same questions a million times. What if he asked me to be his girlfriend? Should I say yes? Am I ready for a relationship? Do I even like him like that? But when the time came none of those questions came to my mind, because I knew the answer to all of them. I want to be with Alex. Simple.
And right now, while I look at him with frosting in the corners of his mouth, I know I made the right decision. I guess it's not that hard after all. Starting over. Recreating my life. I lost my memory but that's not going to stop me from being happy.
"What's on your mind?"
"What?"
"You seem thoughtful" I just shook my head. Then I felt something vibrate: my phone. i searched through my purse until i found it and opened the text.
