Like every other time, she sits in the café and thinks of her. She was content around her and was going above and above to please the princess, but she had no idea how she had fallen in love. At least, she did not anticipate herself to fall in love with a woman or one of her bandmates.
Amber took a sip of her iced Americano and sighed, realizing she had no idea how to approach this problem. It seems that only Victoria was aware of this. In the living room, specifically, Amber talked to Victoria in Mandarin almost every night about this. Amber is trying to avoid talking to the princess in Korean because she would find out if they did.
Amber glanced up as someone stood in front of her, pausing the song on her iPod.
"Oh, you are here." She takes out her earpiece and says, a little smugly.
Victoria nodded and sat down in front of the chair.
"I apologize for being late today." Amber nodded as she responded in fluent Mandarin.
"It is fine; I just got here." What do you want to drink? I will get it for you; the line is not too long right now."
Victoria returned her gaze to the queue, which was still not particularly long.
The café where they usually go is just around the corner from their office, and reservations are required before you can come in for that expensive little cup of coffee or tea of your choice.
"Yeah, sure, the usual, please," Victoria says quietly.
Amber nodded and stood up, walking to the counter to place an order for her "mother."
Amber returned to her seat after paying for the drinks, and Victoria began the conversation.
"How are things going?" She inquired, her voice a little excited.
Victoria did not seem to mind Amber courting the princess. Instead, Victoria backs her up. "Why try to stop loving that person you really love, even if you are both females?" Victoria asked Amber that night.
Amber is grateful to have Victoria as her rock when she needs it the most. Regretfully, the princess did not pick up on Victoria's assistance from behind that they were both attempting to leak. You can use any one of them on her, regardless of how unaware or inattentive she may be.
"Jie, I do not think I should come clean. It is not like she will accept it anyway. What if she despises gay people? Would not it be awkward for us if she turned me down?" Amber sighed and fiddled with her hands.
Victoria shook her head with a smile. "Amber, you should believe in yourself. Even Eunjung believes you are insecure. Honey, I know you all deep down, and I am confident she will accept you. Even a blind man could tell she loves you. Or perhaps I am interested in you." Victoria sings.
Amber turned to face her older sister. "Are you sure? I mean, I asked her opinion on homosexuals before, and she said she disapproved of them; why can not they date the opposite sex instead of their own sex?" Amber scowled.
"Jie, I am not understanding. I can not feel the love you said she feels for me. Do not you think she would not disagree if she really did?"
There was a long pause between them.
"I have no idea, Amber. I will tell you if I know the answer. But I don't. That is for you to discover, sweetheart. Fight for your own love; do not wait for it." Victoria smiled and patted Amber on the back. "I will always be there for you in the back, Ber."
Amber let out a sigh and nodded. "I will give it a shot." She muttered, returning her gaze to the table.
