Then one brave girl, who was really pretty and wasn't wearing any kinky clothes, approached Octavian. I was quite mad that she dared to approach Octavian but was happy that he rejected her. When I was about to wave and go to Octavian, someone grabbed my arm and turned me to them. It was Blake.

I was about to say something along the lines of, "Can you let me off the hook?", but Blake had other plans. He kissed me right on the mouth.

Chapter 13

Arielle POV

He kissed me on my mouth for only 2 seconds, it was just a peck. I was confused why he did that but I let it go thinking it was because he was drunk. I turned to where Octavian was but couldn't find him. My arm was, again, grabbed by Blake and he turned me to face him.

"If I can't have you... I don't want anyone to have you." His voice sounded broken like a wrecked ship. His face matched his sound of the voice as well. He almost had tears coming out of his face. Although he tried rather harsh things to me, I wasn't heartless.

I decided to take him to his house. I asked him his address and thankfully he told it to me despite how drunk he was. I dragged him outside where I saw Octavian and the girl who approached him. I couldn't believe my eyes as they were about to kiss. Blake spoke, not realizing how loudly he was speaking.

"What's wrong Arielle? You're crying." I dabbed on my face and sure enough, I was crying. Because of Blake's loud voice, the two people I was hopelessly watching turned to face us.

Octavian's face was cold and stiff as he watched Blake and I. I sniffed, thinking the first priority is taking Blake home and I would talk to Octavian later. I dragged Blake to my car and laid him down in the backseat. I drove him to his house and rang the doorbell.

No one came and although it was late, it was weird how the house was completely silent as if no one was living in there. Searching Blake's pockets for the key, I realized how weird the scene is and how awkward it was.

I finally found the key and unlocked the door. I threw Blake on the couch and tried to find the Advil in his kitchen. When I found it, I put it on the coffee table beside the couch and left him a note to take it in the morning.

I went to my house straight after, which was silent since it was so late at night. However, I couldn't sleep at the fact that he almost kissed with the girl. Remembering that scene, I silently cried hoping it was just a misunderstanding.

The next morning was rather strange because a) Octavian wasn't here when he normally was and b) because Blake visited right after I woke up. I had a note saying that my parents were going out of town to a bigger mall to have a "date".

I welcomed Blake into my house cautiously because we were alone and before we were like that, it didn't turn out very well.

"Um, thank you for yesterday. And I'm really sorry about the times before." His face looked sincere so I decided to forgive him. In reality, though, I forgave him a long time ago since everyone makes mistakes and he did save me once.

"It's alright. If that's all, could you go now? I have some stuff to do." Because he apologized, I didn't want to be really rude but I do hold some grudges. I really didn't have anything to do, but I wanted to take a walk in the park trying to figure out Octavian's behavior.

Blake nodded in understanding and I walked him to the door. As I opened the door, there stood Octavian.
