It Was You All Along (Toby McDonough)*ON HOLD*

Today was mine and Ethan's 1 year aniversery so we were going to do something special. Since it was 1 and he was picking me up at 7 I had time to go to the mall and get a new outfit for tonight. I didnt put any make up on and just put on sweat pants and a tank top. Then threw my hair in a messy bun. I knew I was going to need help picking out an outfit so I decided to shoot Toby a text asking him to come with.

Hey Toby can you come with me to the mall right now? -Jo

After about 3 minutes I got a text back from him.

Sure girl. I'll be over in 5 minutes. -Toby

When Toby got here we both went into his car and he started driving to the mall. It seemed prettty quiet in the car so I turned on the radio not even bothering to ask Toby if he wanted it on. Cuhz even if he didnt he knows I would win at getting the radio on. And just my luck What About Love by Austin Mahone came on. See this song always got me pumped up and I dont even know why. Maybe because it was sung by a very very VERY sexy man.

All of a sudden Toby decides to sing along "WHAT ABOUT LOVE WHAT ABOUT OUR PROMISES!" I couldnt hold in my laughter so I just let it out. "Toby dont butcher the song please." I say between spits of my laughter. "YOU CUT MY WINGS NOW I AM FALLING!" He scream/sings again. The next few verses are me and Toby screaming/singing. We finally got to the mall and I practically ran to a random dress store. When Toby finally caught up with me I already picked out 3 dresses I thought were cute. "Wait here I'm gonna try these on and then you have to tell me which one looks best. He just smiled and nodded.

I went into the changing room and grabbed the strapless blue dress that went up kness. After I got it on I walked out of the dressing room to show Toby. "How does this one look?" I asked to boy in the chair. "Its really pretty on you." After he said that I went back in the changing room. I took off the dress and grabbed the dark purple dress that was kinda tight on me. It ended about 2 inches below my ass, and it was a halter top. After it got zipped up I walked out "What about this one?" "Sorry Jo but it looks like your trying to get someone in bed. It shows off too much skin."  I looked down and he was right, I looked like a slut.

After that I went back into the changing room and took off the purple dress. I finally grabbed the last dress which was a light green strapless. It went down right below my knees. I walked out and right away Toby's facial expression changed...and not for the good. "Oh Jo no no no no no no. Not that dress please." "Then what dress do I wear?" He didnt reply he just got up and went over to the rack of dresses. His eyes then got very big. He pulled out the most beautiful dress I have ever layed eyes on. It was a light pink noodle strap dress. When I put it on i saw that it came down right above knees. I walked out and Toby just smiled and nodded. "This the one?" i asked. "Jo, we found the dress." And with that I felt really good. I went back in to get changed back into my regular things. 

Once I paid for the dress we went to the shoe store to by a pair of shoes to go with the dress. Right away I found a pair that were perfect for my dress. When I tried them on it was like it was ment to be. Even Toby thought so.  After that we went to the food court to get some food to fill our stomachs. "So what is whats his face doing for you tonight?" Toby asked looking down at his food. "Well he said it was a surprise so I dont know but I'm sure Ethan planned a very romantic night." I said smilling at just the thought of him. I truly loved him, no matter how many fights we got into, no matter how pointless they were, I still loved him with all my heart. But sometimes he is difficult to be with. But I know in the end it would be worth it. 

"Oh..well that should be fun." is all Toby says kind of sarcastically. "Okay Toby I know you hate Ethan but you could at least be happy for me that the guy I love is going to do something nice for me and that I am happy with him. Toby he is the one. Now if you're going to be acting like this I dont want to talk to you until you can be happy for me!" I say quit loudly. More loud than I expected because a few heads looked up at me.Toby didn't say anything so I just grunted, grabbed my bags then walked away.

My house isn't far from the mall. Maybe like 20 minutes walking distance so I decided I can walk. Once I got home it was already 5 so I took a quick shower then blow dried my hair. I curled my hair than ran my fingers through it so it look bigger and more curls. After I was finished with my hair, I got out my make up and only put eye liner on the top lid. Then I put on some mascara. After my face was done I went into my bedroom and I grabbed my dress admiring it for a few minutes then puttin it on. I then grabbed my shoes. By the time I was done it was 6:57. Perfect timing.

I then heard a slight knock on my door. "Come in." I hear the door open and suddenly feel to arms wrap around me. I could tell who it was by the scent of them. "He there sexy." I hear him say. I turn around and give him a quick peck on the lips. "Happy 1 year baby." I say smiling ear to ear. "Happy 1 year, you ready?" I nodded and grabbed his hand.
