"Son, your sense of humor is admirable. But you need to practice more" Mr. Simpson told Brad, still thinking everything is a joke.
"I'm not kidding Dad. I love Tristan" Brad answered, determined to finally fight for their relationship. Curly looked at how his Dad's expression changed. He has gone from 'all smiles', to 'serious shit is going down'.
"Honey, I don't think they're kidding ... Tristan is it true?" Mrs. Simpson asked, hoping for a 'no'. Brad looked at Tris and saw how white his face is.
"Y-yes .... we .... we're dating" he replied.
"Oh my God" she uttered before looking at her husband. Brad braced himself for whatever will happen next. "This is it" he thought to himself while trying his best to grasp the idea of moving out as soon as tonight if ever they abandon him.
"I'm not gonna have a gay son around the house" he uttered before going upstairs, leaving all of them behind. Brad looked at his mother and saw that she still couldn't speak.
"Mum, we tried to tell you earlier I promise. Things were just a little too complicated the past few months .. I-"
"Brad stop"
The curly haired lad's heart dropped, realizing that he may have just really lost them.
"Mum..."
"Please leave ... try your best to enjoy the prom. I'll talk to your father"
"Thanks Mum" Brad replied before moving closer, opting to give her a hug. But much to his surprise, she stopped him from doing so.
"Son please ... go"
Tears started mounting on his eyes as he backed off, Tris then held his hand as they walked out. As soon as they reached his car, Brad hugged him as tight as he could.
Tris kissed him as a way of making him comfortable.
"I will be here always ... I promise" he uttered.
"I want to run away"
"Brad, you know we can't do that"
"They hate me ... I know they hate me"
"They don't .. trust me"

Connor and Victoria arrived at the room party together. The lad looked around and can't help but wonder what would it look like if no one died ... if the school shooting never happened. Would it be more festive?.
With her arms clutched on to him, Connor led Victoria to Hazel and James waiting by their table. "Hey guys" they both greeted them at the same time.
"Oh hey, you two look gorgeous"
"Thank you. You look great as well" Victoria and Connor replied before asking about Brad, Caleb and Tristan.
"Caleb's already at the dance floor trying to snatch a date at the very last minute" Hazel answered.
"Typical Caleb" Victoria commented and so everyone at the table agreed.
"Where's the other couple?" Connor asked , referring to Brad and Tristan.
"They're probably at the bathroom fucking already" James replied, making Hazel pinch him on the cheeks for giving such an obscene answer.
"We haven't seen them ... oh wait there they are" she answered before pointing towards the entrance. Connor looked on and saw the two lads walking side by side, looking the best they' ever been. Being two of the most popular lads in the school, all the girls started flocking around them as soon as they saw how attractive they are.
