"Eriiiin!" Karine called from below the stairwell at school. "Coooming Kariiine!" Erin yelled back at her. Running as fast as she could, Erin nearly tripped as she hit the last step. "Woah there slow down a bit buddy," Karine said as she caught Erin just in time. "Yeah, thanks and sorry," Erin said scratch her head nervously. Erin and Karine walked all the way to Karine's house, since Erin had been invited to stay the night. Erin especially loved Karine since she had known Karine ever since her very start of her years of school.
They chat all the way to Karine's house. Laughing their heads off at the current news of their lives. Erin left out the sad parts of the story to keep the conversation from taking a turn for the worst. When they arrived at Karine's house. They settled their book bags down at the entrance and ran all the way up to Karine's room. "Wow," Erin said in complete awe when she saw Karine's room. The last time Erin had been in Karine's bedroom was back when Erin was just a little child. Everything about it seemed to change. Her room was know a light shade of blue, she had gotten a new and much nicer bed, and her walls were filled with pictures of her favourite bands and single singers. "Your room has changed so much since the last time I saw it. I like it, I really do," Erin said. "Why thank you Erin and I know, it's been such a long time since you've been in here," Karine said, staring at an image she had taped to the wall. Erin walked over to it and to her surprise, it was a picture of her and Karine back when they were just little children. "Oh Karine," Erin said, tears swelling up. Erin ran and hugged Karine so tight that it almost knocked the wind out of her. "You are welcome and Erin, I can't breathe," Karine rasped. "Oh sorry," Erin replied, letting go of Karine."
The girls talked on about the things and Erin was finally able open about what had happened between Casmine and her. Karine seemed to be very concerned with it and asked Erin many questions. Erin tried to reassure Karine that she was fine, but she wasn't able to convince Karine. "Now you just have to live without for now him. And forget about him, because boys who bump you obviously aren't good enough for you," Karine said as if she were Erin's mother. "O...okay," Erin mumbled, wiping the tears off of her face.
It was a long evening, the girls hung out jamming out to music, passing the time by. It was around three in the morning when they decided that it was best if they hit the bed before the morning came. Erin was feeling exhausted and she crawled into bed and instantly fell asleep hoping that nightmares would not resurface in her mind, but she was unfortunate again. But this time, Erin had to accept her nightmares, so she let her mind drag her through this endless maze of emotions.
