Tyler's POV
Why did I say that? I sit in my car parked on my driveway. You know just thinking back... why did I ever break up with Mallory for Kaitlyn? Kaitlyn doesn't even like me as a friend. There is no way she would take me as a boyfriend. But then the other day, why did Toby say she liked me? To make me feel guilty. That's why. That's exactly what I was thinking when he told me too.
I start to beat on my steering wheel as an all to familiar figure walks up to my car from hers. She gets in the passsenger seat and looks at me. Great. Just as tears are starting to form she leans in and kisses me. I can't cry now. Guys don't cry. Especially in front of people. I let her keep kissing me and don't notice the car pull up next to me. It parks in my driveway and the girl starts to get out before noticing me. In the car. Kissing Mallory.
"I knew it was too good to be true." Kaitlyn states before getting back in her car. I get out of my car, leaving Mallory by herself, and get into Kaitlyns. "Dammit Kaitlyn. Just a couple minutes ago you said that you couldn't take me. Take this." She starts to cry. God now here I go. "You don't get it Tyler." I start to get angry again but I keep it in. "What is there to get Kaitlyn? Did you not hear yourself? You said I was always pushing you around and that you wouldn't take that any longer. I told you how I felt." "No you didn't Tyler. You lied. You said you were over Mallory. That you broke up with her." Okay so I see where she is coming from. "I did." "Then what the hell was that? You were just kissing her in the car! Right. you are so over her." I start to smirk. "You jealous? I just kissed you about 15 minutes ago."
"That's the point Tyler. When you figure out what you want, we can talk. Until then, don't bother." I wait five minutes before she says, "And did you just ask if I was jealous?" I nod my head and smirk again. She glares at me. If looks can kill I would be dead. "Get out. Now." I look at her and then back at Mallory. "You know what Kaitlyn? I'm done waiting. When you figure out what YOU want, you tell me. Until then, I'm with Mallory." She looks at me again. She is hurt and mad. I can see it in her face. "So I'm just your second choice. Your little buddy to go to when you are in a fight or in a break with Mallory. Well now I know what I want. So get out." "Kaitlyn its not like that." "I said get out." I get out slamming the car door and getting back to my makeout session with Mallory. Mallory breaks out first watching Kaitlyn as she goes. I see her give Kaitlyn a dirty look as if to say she won.
And she did. I'm tired of the drama with Kaitlyn. But then again... wasn't I the one that started it? Nope. She got herself into this. Right? Gosh I am so confused. I know I started it. But I don't know how to end it.
Kaitlyns POV
I drive and I drive and I drive. I drive far away to the farthest bar away from Tyler, away from Mallory, away from school, away from Toby, away from drama. I park the car and wait about five minutes. I walk out of the car wearing short Jean shorts, a bright pink tank, and black flats. I am not dressed in a tight mini dress which is what girls usually wear here. I walk in and hear music blaring. I head straight to the bar. "Hey, babe, what can I get you?" "A drink." He laughs. Dang that was kinda cute. Maybe that's what I need to get my mind off Tyler. He gives me a drink not even asking for an ID which I am greatful for. "Uh I forgot to ask... how old are you?" Great. "Uhhh..." "Thought so. Its fine. You looked like you needed it anyways. Wanna tell me what happened?" And before I knew it, I was pouring my life story out to a stranger. The funny part is, he came around the bar and sat on a stool next to me and actually listened. "Wait so how old are you?" "Junior in high school. What about you?" "Senior in high school." "Where do you go?" "Avalon." "I have never noticed you. How could I have not noticed you?" I said a little bit flirty. I think he noticed because he smiled and chuckled a little. "What do you say to a bite to eat?" I agree and tell him we can take my car.
