True's POV
When I woke up I felt so hungover.
I got up and pulled away from Cyrus, who had her legs wrapped around me.
I walked over to the mirror and pulled my white under shirt over my body.
I put on my blue pajama bottoms and walked downstairs.
Tonight was the night that me and my boys do what we've dreamed oh. We were going to take on one of the largest banks in America.
It was risky business, but it was all we knew.
My father brought me into this life style. Gordan Cooper, or Coop.
My momma left us when I was two years old, so he taught me everything I know. He taught me how to hustle, how to grind, how to take care of business.
When I was old enough, I started helping him with the things he did. I helped him run product, I helped him count the money, I did whatever my father needed me to do, because I loved him.
When I turned 16, I was introduced to the lifestyle officially and I was made into a member of the family.
The gang my father put together never had an official name and we always treated each other like family so our competitors and our enemies gave us the nickname, the family.
We thrived in it.
My father was at the top of his game when they tried to pin a drug charge on him.
I didn't want him to lose his fire and I knew that without him, The family would flame out, so I took the wrap for him.
They put me in a juvenile detention center for two years and when I got out I found out that they killed my father.
In his will, he had left to me 25 million dollars and he specifically instructed me to continue our business.
This wasn't just drugs and guns.
This wasn't just gangs and murders.
This was my father's dynasty.
And I had every intention on keeping him alive through the work he wanted to do.
When I got out I had to start from the bottom.
I built a team and I labeled them, The lost boys, and with me in charge of them we went from the bottom to the top.
I wanted my boys to be taken care of, so when we got on, I bought us a mansion in a gated community, two condos, and I made sure we had a safe house.
I took care of them, mainly because they were the only family I had left.
I walked out of my room and down the hallway.
I knocked on everyone's doors.
"Get the fuck up! We got a big day today!!" I said banging on everyone's doors.
