True's POV

"That's it. That's him."

"It can't be." Toby said. "It just....can't."

Toby and I were watching the security footage in the monitor room.

"Mmm, mmm. Tookie... look."

I pointed towards the screen and my finger followed Duke's figure.

"That's Duke. And he's going towards the car...he..."

"I can't believe this...He...he set us up." Toby said.

"And he was just gonna sit at the funeral and...and pretend?" I said angrily.

"I'll kick his fucking-"

"No." I put my hand on his shoulder.

"No?" He looked at me as if I was insane.

"No." I repeated. "He really has to pay for this. We can't just beat him, we have to get creative, Took."

I rubbed the underneath of my chin as I stared at the monitor.

"I have something for him." I said nodding my head.

"What are you going to do?" He asked me.

"I'm going to handle this. Tookie get the make of that car and see if you can get the license plate number. I have plans to make."

" 'Aight, I got you."

"Good."

I walked out of the room and tucked my bottom lip in.

"Bastard...fucking bastard."

Duke had betrayed us, his family.

His brothers.

Me.

It hurt me to do this, but I had to make an example out of him.

Him and the rest of the perpetrators.

The streets were going to be covered in blood by the time I get through.

The next day

I was in Ciara's room getting ready with her.

I figured it'd be easy to talk to her, since she was the only other girl in our circle.

Come to find out that she just as hysterical as I was, but unlike me, she wore her broken heart on her sleeve.

I envied that. I really did.

I wanted to cry.
