Everyone remembers Garry from episode 1, right?
His voice is the worst.
All of us anime binge watchers would know that Garry is meant to be the antagonist.... Wait, let me rephrase that.
Garry is Ash's rival, meaning he's technically supposed to be the "bad guy".I don't think the script writers did a very good job.
Garry sort of reminds me of my brother. He used to be really mean, but I can see him trying to get better on his attitude. This is the kind of relationship I see Ash and Garry having. He always reminded me of an older brother to Ash, and in the beginning of "Master Quest"- season 5 (it could've been the end of season 4), he rejects a battle for time's sake. But... Notice his Pokemon. He has an Umbreon. The question is, how do you evolve and Eevee into an Umbreon?
Yep, the gamers know this one.
FRANDSHIP! *insert rainbow*
This reflects kind of how Garry treats his Pokemon. He had such a good relationship with his Eevee, that it evolved for him.
What about Ash's Pokemon?
Let's see...
He releases Pokemon so they can be happier, right?HE'S THE IDIOT THAT TRIED TO RELEASE HIS BEST FRIEND/STARTER/THE ONLY POKEMON WHO CAN REALLY DEAL WITH HIS STUPIDITY AND STUBBORNNESS.
See where I'm going with this?
In a nutshell, Garry treats his Pokemon better.
Back to my original point, he actually ENCOURAGES Ash to improve. So.... I think we all see who wins here.
