All the boys and kids were driving back to base due to something that had come up. Laura was really disappointed. She was soooo looking forward to this trip.

"It's okay Laura we can take another on another time but remember duty comes before fun." Smokescreen stated not taking his eyes off the road.

"Since when did you become so wise." She mumbled.

"Since my girlfriend started pouring and not talking to me." He said smirking at her through the mirror.

"Anyways. You told me something last night before I drifted off to sleep....what was it?" She asked sweetly.

He tensed. He thought fast. "I was telling you how beautiful you were when you slept." He stated nervously.

She had on a face that clearly read 'unbelievable'. "So your not gonna say it to me again I guess." She said sadly resting her elbow on the arm rest and laying her head on her hand, looking out the window.

He started to pull over. He heard honks from the other bots. 'Go ahead guys we have a pee problem' he lied.

'Haha roger that smokers.' Wheeljack laughed and stated. They all drove off.

He stopped and looked over at Laura who had a tear fall. He looked back out the front window. Smokescreen took his hand and ran it through his holoforms brown hair, letting out a sigh he looked up.

"Look, Laura it's not that I don't, but with what happened to my other ........mate I can't say it until I know your my one." He stated

Her eyes got wide. She let more tears fall. "So you mean to tell me you still haven't figured out if I'm your 'one' yet. This whole time I thought you were my one!!" She glared.

He sighed. "But how do you know that?" He questioned giving her a pointed look.

"Because what I gave to you I can't ever get back! Because we have been through so much together! Because...... Because .....I love you!" She said looking out the window.

"No you don't, I mean how do you even know if you love someone?" He asked again. He seemed to be glaring at the window. Memories of his other dead love came rushing back. He didn't want the same thing to happen to Laura. She was in so much danger with the autobots. With ....him.

"What do you mean how do you know?!" She yelled.

"Laura....it's over." He stated a few tears escaped his holoforms eyes.

Her eyes widened. She then glared shoving the door open and running to base. Smokescreen cried. Why? Why couldn't she just have made it easier and said she understood? Now he felt bad. He punched his wheel over and over again until his holoforms nuckles bled. The truth was he did love her...so...so much. He loved her enough to.....let her go.

Laura ran all the way to base and demanded a ground bridge to her house. How could he do this?! He didn't love her?! Did he use her?!

Smokescreen started up his engine, his seat bloody with his knuckles blood. His hands didn't hurt but his spark felt like it had been ripped in half. He would never forgive himself.

Laura ran up her stairs and cried. She was so broken. So helpless. So hurt. She had never felt this way about a breakup with anyone. She truly did love him. She knew she did. She loved when he would whisper in her ear when they would fall asleep. How his arms fit perfectly around her waist. She looked to the empty side of the bed where she would wake up and see him still asleep, how she would brush the strand of hair out of his face and just think she was the luckiest girl in the world.

Smokescreen got to his berthroom and destroyed half of his stuff. He punched the walls , knocked over his desk, dented his berth. He was hurting so bad but the only way he knew how to get his sadness out was with his anger. He then sat on his berth clutching his spark. It stung so bad. He opened his chamber and saw a crack forming in his spark. His spark was literally breaking. He did love her. Primus he loved her so much.
