Just another day in jasper. Laura tried to call her parents for like the 5th time.

"Mom listen you really need to call me back I'm getting worried. Okay bye." With that she hung up and ran a hand through her hair. Ace leaned against a wall cleaning his sword blades, while glancing at Laura.

"Still no answer?" He asked.

"No." She said dazed in thinking. "I should look for them." She stated starting to walk off, that is until Ace stopped her.

"Woa doll listen you can't just go out and expect to find your parents I'm sure they're just busy." He stated letting her arm go. He smiled.

"Right I'm sure they are." She said calming down.

"We should get to base." Ace said.

"Okay." She nodded.

Ace pulled into the main room and stooped, allowing Laura to get out. Once she was settled he transformed and stood up stretching. He smiled down at Laura and winked. "Optimus has to discuss something with me, so I'll see ya later doll." He brushed her cheek with a digit and then turned and walked away. Her eyes followed him. She looked around and saw Bulkhead,bumblebee, ratchet, and......Smokescreen. He was looking over ratchets shoulder at something. "Where's the others?" With that ratchet and smokescreen turned. Smoke screens optics widened a little.

"At school. I suppose your not going?" Ratchet asked kind of annoyed. "School?" She asked dazed and feeling dizzy. "SCHOOL?!" She looked at her messages frantically. "Ohhhhh wow it's a week out of summer and I've already missed a week!" She just slid down the silo wall and sighed. "Oh well. I'm already failing." She starred dazed. Every bot just started at her. A few minutes went by and then Laura jumped when a hand touches her shoulder.

"Laura? You okay doll?" It was ace. She stood up and swayed. "Yea I'm fine." She said looking up at him. "Ace!" She gasped. "Look!" She had cut herself on a kitchen knife just the other day and the cut was blue. Usually when a cut scabs over the scab is brown but this time it was.........blue. Aces optic ridges knitted in confusion. "Are you sure....your okay Laura?" He asked. "Just....dizzy." She murmured. She held her head. "Ratchet can you scan her please?" Ace said picking Laura up.

Ratchet scanned Laura and gasped. "What is it?!" Smokescreen said by Laura's side. She starred at him. He looked down on her with sad optics and smiled. He brushed a strand of hair away from her eyes. She held his digit and smiled.

Ratchet turned towards them with wide optics. "Laura's bones are turning......"
They all looked at him.

"Metal."
