---KAYLAS POV---
We arrive at practice. I carry my stuff to the dugout and grab my glove and sunglasses. Kenzie and I throw with each other and more people begin to show up and do the same. We do infield and some batting. Then its time for conditioning, a couple laps around the field and some sprints. Then we so some core and arm workouts. I was used to this since I did Track and field and I didn't mind running. As we take a break, I see Zach and Jaden and all the boys they wave so I wave back. Then they keep walking to the baseball field. Hmm wonder what they are doing? We soon fins uh practice and I walk over towards the baseball field. Aamber and Kenzie come with. We get over there and Zach is pitching to Jaden. Looks like they are having a dinger derby.
"Hey Kayla!" Shouts Jaden
"Hey Jaden!" I shout back
"Wanna join in on our dinger derby?" He asks smirking
"Sure. Can Kenzie and aamber join?" I say smirking back
"Of course" he says
"Uhh Kayla, I don't play softball." Aamber says
"So. It doesn't matter." Says Zach
"You will do fine" I say
"Not as good as you." Aamber says
"No one will ever do as well as Kayla" says Jaden Laughing
"I'm not that good" I say laughing
"You are" jaden says
"Guys let's stop arguing about how good Kayla is and get back to our derby." Says Cole
"True and Kayla your batting first" Zach says
"Okay." I say
"Your hitting baseballs overhand" he says smirking
"Dude, you know I can't hit overhand" I say with a straight face
"That's the whole point" he says laughing
"Oh I'm sure you'll hit it" aamber says laughing
"Better hope I do" I say
We get 10 pitches, I hit 5 yard and for hitting a baseball that's pretty good. Jaden hits 8 yard and Zach 7. Cole hits 9 and the rest hit less. Kenzie hits 4 out and and aamber hits 1 out.
"Told you. That you'd hit at least one out" I say to aamber
"Okay I was wrong" aamber says laughing
"Time for softball" I say smirking
"Oh come on softball is easier" Cole says
"Let's see then. Cole your first" I say whipping my hair and walking to the mound
He misses a lot of the pitches and hits two out.
"Not so easy is it Cole?" I say smirking
"Your just a good pitcher" he says folding his arms
"Exuses..excuses"'I say smirking
Then I see some boy walk up.
"Everyone Pause" says Jack
"Who is this?" I ask
"This is Harris. A new member to our team." Says Jaden
"Oh hi Harris." I say
Aamber taps my shoulder and whispers "he's cute".
I whisper back "get it aamber".
We both laugh.
Jaden introduces us all, and we get back to the derby.
As I'm pitching him and Aamber seem to be hitting it off in the outfield. I keep pitching. Jaden hits 5 out along with Zach. I hit 9 out and Kenzie hits 8. Aamber hits two.
"Yeah.I'm not good at this softball baseball thing" she says laughing
"Not everyone is" says Zach laughing
I see aamber and Harris exchange numbers and on our drive home they are texting.
---AAMBERS POV---
I'm in the car and I immediately text Harris.
Aamber- Hey
Harris- Sup
Aamber- just heading home wbu
Harris- Same😂
Aamber- lol😂
Harris-I enjoyed meeting you all today!
Aamber- Me too! Hopefully we can hang out soon!
Harris- Your Kayla's sister right?
Aamber- Yea
Harris- we could hang out if her team and mine make it to the series. It's at the beach!
Aamber- That's awesome! Hope they make it!
Harris- Me too!
Convo ends as Kayla and I arrive home.
We had one more day till the tournament. So we head to bed. Tomorrow Kayla was taking it easy so she performs well. But, I didn't play so I wasn't sure what i was going to do. I think some of the girls were coming over to hang out the next day. So, I'll probably just hang out with them. Or maybe Harris. But he has a tournament too, I'd want him to play well.
