The Second Generation(a Durarara Fanfiction)

Chapter 1

A new year begins in Raira Academy. Freshmen, and old students come and meet each other after a while away from school. Everyone gathers in the gym meeting new people, greeting old friends, and chatting amongst themselves. The principle stands in front of the mike as students start to sit down.

"Hello there students. Let us start the new year with open minds and open hearts. Today, we welcome new students, and welcome back old. I know you are all excited to go to your new classes so I am going to cut this speech short. There will papers outside the gym that show who's in what class, so find out what class your in and the day will begin. Anyway, welcome to Raira Academy."

There are a few students who's lives will intertwined with each other and they don't even know it. Some by parents, some by past friendships, and the list goes on. All we know right now is that their destinies are in each other's hands.

"Check it out Chime! We're in the same class!" An energetic female freshmen tells her friend.

"Wow, we are. What luck!" A shyer female freshmen replies. "Wait Kai, what class is this again?"

"Class 1-A my dearest friend."

The two freshmen head to their class with the rest of the crowd.

"We will be doing introductions. Does anyone want to go first?" The teacher asks.

"I do!" A hand shot straight up.

"Okay then, go ahead."

"Hi everyone! My name is Kida Kai! Nice to meet you all!" The energetic freshmen says happily.

Then it was her friend's turn.

"Good morning, I am Ryugamine Chime. I hope we will have a great year together." The shyer friend introduced.

"Next?" The teacher asked.

A blond female stood up.

"I'm Heiwajima Sakura. Nice to meet you all." She said confidently. The other students looked slightly scared but the two friends didn't understand why.

But they aren't the only ones who are intertwined by destiny. No. Actually, there are a few in each year. In the second year there are some.

"Hi everyone! My name's is Yumazaki Rin! I'm an otaku just so you know! Nice to meet you all." A female second year announced.

"Hi, I'm Kishitani Shou. I hope we could become friends." A bespectacled male introduced.

"I'm Orihara Karma. Nice to see you guys again." A raven male said in boredom.

And the introduction go on. But it isn't over. Lastly, the third years.

"Hello. I'm Kadota Kou. Nice to meet you guys." A female student said.

"And I'm Kadota Keita. I'm Kou's twin brother! Nice to meet you." An enthusiastic male introduced.

"Heiwajima Haru. Nice to see y'all." A tall brunette said as some students had a look of terror on their face.

And now, let destiny do its job.

--------AT LUNCH---------------------------------------------

"Hey Karma!" Shou shouts from down the hall.

"Hey man." Karma responds as his friend runs to him.

"I can't believe we're in the same class this year." Shou says stopping near Karma panting.

"Yeah I know, and are you okay?"

"Just outta shape that's all."

"You're really outta shape then. That wasn't even ten metres you ran."

"Exercise isn't really my thing."

"Fighting Haru-chan isn't my thing but look what happens every time I go outside!" Karma says annoyed causing his friend to chuckle.

"To the cafeteria!" Kai says as Chime follows her.

"Do you know where to go?" Chime asks.

"Nope." Kai answers smiling.

"Thought so." Chime says smiling at the cheerfulness of her best friend.

Just then she bumped into some one.

"Ack I'm sorry!" She apologizes.

"It's alright." A voice says. Chime looked up to see a brown haired girl.

"Are you guys first years?" She asks.

"Yes." Chime answered shyly.

"So I'm guessing you guys are lost. Don't worry though. I'm here to help!" The girl says. "Anyway, I'm Yumazaki Rin. Nice to meet ya."

"Well I'm Kida Kai and this shy boobilious girl is my best friend Ryugamine Chime!" Kai introduces them as Chime blushes madly. Rin just laughed.

"Anyway, let's head to the caf!" Rin says gesturing the two freshmen to follow her.

"Here we are!" Rin says. "Say do you guys wanna sit with me for lunch?"

"Okay." The two friends answer. Suddenly, Rin shouts.

"Yo Karma, Shou!"

Then two boys look up and waved at Rin. She waved at us signaling us to follow. They headed towards the table and sat down.

"Hey Yumazaki." The blue eyed raven said to Rin.

"We've been friends for a year now, I think you can call me by my first name." Rin said to the raven.

"As if! Karma and I have been friends since grade school and he still calls me by my last name." The guy with glasses sighed.

"Oh girls, these two are my friends Karma and Shou."

"Hi I'm Orihara Karma." The raven said.

"And I'm Kishitani Shou." The other guy said. "What are your names?"

"I'm Kida Kai and this is my best friend Ryugamine Chime." Kai introduced.

"Looks like the friendship runs through the family." Karma said smiling.

"What do you mean?" Chime asks confused.

"Don't worry about it." Karma answered.

"Anyway, how do you like the school so far?" Shou asked.

"Oh it's alright so far. Nothing to out of the ordinary." Kai responds.

"That last part won't last for a while." A voice from behind the girls said. The two first turned around and saw two other students smiling back at them.

"Hey look who it is! It's the Kadota twins." Rin said happily.

"Yup, that's us." The female of the twins said chuckling.

"Say Keita, where's Haru? He's usually with you two." Shou asked.

"Oh he went somewhere else. He went to show his sister around." The male twin answered.

"There another one?!" Karma said slamming his head head on the table.

"I'm sorry but, who are we talking about?" Chime asked obviously confused.

"Heiwajima Haru." The female twin answered.

"God that guy can die in a fire." Karma said bluntly with a tint of anger in his voice.

"What's bad about that guy?" Kai asked curiously.

"Well h-"

"Can we change the subject please." Karma said cutting Shou off. Just as he said that, a chair came flying towards Karma's head which he dodged.

"What?" Kai muttered.

"And it has begun." Karma said smirking.
