Karma typed away on the computer.
"What are you doing kid?" Namie asked, who apparently worked for Izaya for a long time.
"Why do you ask?" Karma asked not looking up from the screen.
"Just curious." She answered. "When you're like that, you remind me of your dad."
"Is that so?" Karma asked now slightly looking at Namie.
"Yeah, but I like you better. You don't try to ruin people's lives for your entertainment."
Karma just nodded, looking back down at the screen.
"They're at it again." Karma mumbled.
Lately, Karma has been very busy with gathering information. On the screen was an article about the attacks by the Slayers. They have been more active and violent than the Yellow Scarves 2.0, who he supposed were having a low profile for the time being. He researched more and more but couldn't find any reliable information.
"Tsk."
"What's wrong?" Namie asked.
"Nothing."
"Oh really?"
"Yeah." Karma answered going upstairs with his laptop.
He went up to his room and locked the door. He went to the Dollars website as a last resort. He scrolled through the forums and finally came across something. It was something posted by Kanra.
Hey have you heard?! The Slayers seem to really be at it lately! I've heard that they are the ones behind those kidnappings! It's so scary! No one is safe anymore!
"Slayers=kidnapping." Karma mentally noted.
He went one to the chatroom.
-Kuroki joined the chatroom-
Kuroki: Hello.
Tanaka Taro: Hey there.
Kanra: Hi!!!!
Kuroki: Karna
Kuroki: I saw your post on the Slayers.
Karna: Did you really?!
Kuroki: Um yeah.
Kanra: Well
Kanra: Lucky for you cause I've got more!
Tanaka Taro: Do you really?
Kanra: Yup!
Kanra: Well, apparently the Yellow Scarves are gonna take action soon.
Kanra: The Slayers have been attacking the Yellow Scarves' base recently.
Kanra: I've heard that they've even killed people!
Kuroki: Jeez
Kanra: I know!
Kanra: Worst comes to worst, they might start a gang war!
Tanaka Taro: We'll pray that that doesn't happen.
Kuroki: Guys I gotta go.
Tanaka Taro: So soon?
Kuroki: Yeah
Kuroki: Something came up.
Kuroki: Seeya.
Kanra: Bai!
Tanaka Taro: Bye.
-Kuroki left the chatroom-
"A gang war huh?" Karma mumbled to himself.
He started doing research on the Yellow Scarves. He found a page on the Dollars site that had all the information on the old Yellow Scarves.
"That was easy."
He started looking through it. Blah blah colour gang blah blah blah wore yellow blah blah leader was Kida Masaomi blah blah bl- wait what?! That name threw him off. Kida. That was Kai's father. Then he started getting curious. He searched for info for the old Dollars, which he found quickly. He smiled. The leader, or rather, founder, was Ryugamine Mikado, Chime's father. He laughed at the fact that he was friends with the city's biggest gang leader's daughters.
He spent ruffly an hour in his room, on his laptop, browsing the internet for random information on the city's past. Saika, the Dollars, the Yellow Scarves, the Blue Squares, the Dragon Zombies, the Headless Rider (which he already knew lots about), the Toramaru, the Hollywood serial killer, Heiwajima Shizuo (again, he knew lots about), and his dad (cause why not). He lay on his bed chuckling at all the info he got in an hour. It was crazy! He never felt so informed in his life! His dad would never tell him anything about anyone, unless Karma manipulated him so he would accidentally spill the information. He felt so happy. Then, Karma realised something, he had missed something important.
He had missed...
Lunch.

"So... What did you want to talk about again?" Keita asked Shou who was on the over end of the phone.
"Life." Shou answered simply.
"Well, life is a large subject. Is there anywhere in specific?" Keita asked.
"Well, let's start with the city. How do you like the city?"
"It's alright I guess."
"What's your opinion on the gangs that are looking up?"
"Huh?"
"Answer the question." Shou said sternly.
"They aren't really affecting my life so... I guess I don't really care about them?" Keita answered unsurely. He was lying.
"They aren't affecting your life? Are you kidding me?" Shou said laughing. "You think I'll fall for that lie?!"
"Shou, are you okay?!" Keita asked incredibly concerned for his friends sanity.
"Okay? I couldn't be better!" Shou said crazily. "Oh and don't think I don't know who you are, Kaki."
"How did you?"
"I can find that kind of stuff easily." Shou said. "Oh, by the way, I things are gonna get interesting soon so stay tuned. Seeya later Keita."
Shou hung up.
"What the fuck was that?!" Keita said aloud.
Now he was genuinely concerned. Especially for Karma who was always with him.
"That guy's crazy."

Chime was walking home. She just left Kai's place and was taking a short cut. She went into the alleyway.
"Yo!"
She turned around in fear to see what was behind her.
"You do know you're on our turf, right?"
The three men had something in common. They all had black and white rings around their neck.
"I'm sorry. I'll be leaving now." She said trying to leave when one of the thugs grabbed her arm.
"I don't think so."
Suddenly, she felt a slight pain in her neck and her vision faded to black.
