Mai's Story ( Naru x Mai)

Chapter 6

              The first thing I noticed when I walked in was... None other than Naru. He was....smiling..a pure smile. I gave a confused look to everyone around me and walked over, placing my hand on his forehead.

"You okay Naru?" I asked with concern, he closed his eyes and gave me a closed-eye smile as he looked at.

"Why wouldn't I be? I'm perfectly fine, I would like to speak with you in my office though," I nodded slowly and backed up slowly, letting him walk past me, I gulped and looked at Lin for help.

"I don't know, Mai... He's been acting strange since he woke up..." I nodded slowly and followed after Naru.

"What do you need Naru?" I saw him look over his shoulder at me.

"Mai, will you go on a date with me?" I stared at him and got even more worried.

"Are you sure you're okay... Where's Naru... You can't be him..." I said quietly and walked over, pulling on his arm and looking him in the eyes. It was him... I smiled at him and nodded.

"Of course... I'd be honored if you brought me on a date. His smile widened ever so slightly.

"I'll pick you up at 6:00, okay?" I nodded and left, astonished that... THAT was NARU, the heartless-cold-emotionless-tea loving-workaholic man that was Kazuya Shibuya... I smiled at everyone and waited out the day doing paperwork with Yasu.

               When I went to pick Mai up, Lin handed me some flowers that were red with a few white ones mixed in, I took them and thanked him quietly, he nodded.

"Good luck, Noll." I nodded and walked out, placing them in the space between the driver's seat and passenger seat. I started the car and drove off to Mai's house, when I got there I parked the car, leaving it on and got out. I picked up the flowers and walked to her apartment door, I knocked slowly and waited, with the flowers in my hand, moments later the door opened to Mai wearing a not too fancy dress with some flats and ever so light makeup. I gave her a quick smile and handed the flowers to her, she took them and brought them inside quickly, setting them in a vase and coming back out.

"Thank you, Kazuya." I nodded and took her hand loosely as I walked down the steps of the complex, she walked next to me, waving to a lady at the end of the hall, the lady waved back. I gave the woman a nod, she smiled at me and continued sweeping the halls. I opened the door for Mai and let her get in, closing the door behind her I walked to the driver's side and got in, I took the car out of park and drove to a mostly secluded area, just past the woods. When we got half way to the place I pulled a blindfold over her eyes after I pulled off tot eh side of the road, I checked the temperature quickly and continued driving. She asked me why I blindfolded her.

"You'll see in a moment or two Mai," I said, quickly leaning over and pecking her cheek, my cheeks dusted a pink hue, her cheeks also turned pink.

"Alright... I trust you..." I smiled ever so slightly.

"Good..."
