I blinked, and all of my worries were stilled as I looked at where I was. The walls were plastered with a majestic blue, and the ceiling was gold plated. I looked down at my hands, which were shriveled, probably from my crying last night. That, that one thought set the worries free, and I jumped off the couch.

I did not care where I was, I wanted to find Cato. "CATO?!" I yelled. a nurse came to my aid immediately.

"Are you alright?" She asked. No, I wasn't okay.

"Get me to Cato and then I will be." I said, clenching my fist.

"He is in a hospital room, love." I did not care. She needed to bring me to him or him to me. I began to run to the door, knocking the nurse to the ground. when I opened the door, I knew this was not Snow's place. But, I knew Cato was here. I could feel it.

"Where am I?" I asked, as I ran to the nurse, who was struggling to get up.

"He is not allowed to have visitors." I was not going to fall for that.

I pinned her against the wall, with my knife in hand. "Want to repeat that?"

Her eyes widened, "Yes, I would." She clearend her throat, "He is still at Snow's. We took you away, we took you to the little tribute penthouses. Wait, he is at the hospital. In the basement. They are-" That sure explained the funky decor on the walls. I busted out in anger.

"They are what?"

"Whipping." Snow couldn't stop this could he? I ran out, feet flying. The hospital was only around the corner and we were on the first floor. It was only a mile, and I am sure I broke some record. I ran into the hospital and got to the basement. Nobody was guarding so it was easy to get in. I looked down the hall and an array of doors filled the hall. I heard piercing cries of pain coming from the middle section and ran towards it. I put my ear to a door and heard another cry behind it. I quickly opened it and saw Cato at the pole.

Before I had time to think of a diligent plan, I ran in the middle of the room, and stopped everything. The whip stopped.

I knelt down to Cato, and forced him to look at my eyes. his were still as blue as I always knew.

"Cato, I will help you." I said, as I watched him smile a weak smile. They must have broken his jaw, he said not a word. I looked to the peacekeeper holding the weapon.

"This has gone too far. I am the one who came back to life and defied the Capitol, not him." I kept my arm by his side.

The peacekeeper chuckled, " And you must be his lover. I have orders little girl." That was the last straw. I swung my foot around and I tripped him, causing him to drop the whip.

"Little girl?" I asked.

I pulled Cato from the pole, and whipped anyone who came to me. Cato was unbelievably light. They must have starved him. I dragged him out of sight. This was all too easy, and I knew there would be peacekeepers coming for us soon enough. The train station was only a mile away. The streets seemed to be empty, and it was a little too empty, for the Capitol.

When I got to the ticket booth, the man asked, "Ticket for two...twenty five dollars." I held the whip, and he become generous. "I mean, looks like you get a free ride today."

I got into the train going to District two, and I looked out the window. A wave of peacekeepers came, but the train moved before they were able to get on. My first thought was to get Cato onto a bed. Behind every door I went through, I locked them. Finally I found a bed. I struggled to get him on there, but I managed to.

"C-l" Cato mumbled, before closing his eyes. He was in so much pain, I could tell. He was losing consciousness.

"I am so sorry! I should have died in the arena. I am so sorry." I cried. His hand, his bloody hand, touched mine.

"L-ove you." he weakly said. "I-w-ould take a beating for you any day." I saw the white sheets turning red.

"We need to heal you." I said. I found the pitcher of ice water, and washed the dirt from his wounds. Every time a drop of water hit his back, he clutched the bed, moaning heavily.

"Hey, shh it's okay." I said, soothingly. But I realized, the water didn't hurt him. He was having a flashback or something. Something was going on inside his head.

He shut his eyes tightly, and began to clutch his head. I couldn't tell what he was saying, but he mumbled words.

"Cato. I am here, it's okay. Nobody will hurt you." He didn't hear me. His eyes leaked out tears. When he opened his eyes, they were bloodshot. his expression stabbed my heart. "Cato." I said, while watching him fall under unconsciousness spell. "You'll be okay. As long as I am alive, I will keep you safe and sound." We had one day of safety anyway.
