Solas opened the door to an empty house. her parents had died and she was too old for the social services so she was given a free house to live in until she reached eighteen.two more years until she paid for a real home. by than you were expected by the government to be married to an eligible man or woman. still there was a strictly no gays allowed. all very racist she thought. another sign of rebellion, thinking other than the government.
She said yes. she actually said yes. well she nodded. but that meant yes right? he thought it did. she was strange. she was pretty and quiet and intelligent. he also had to be married, by law, in a year. she had no family and they'd been friends since before her mom died which was three years ago. she had not spoken english or chinese than either but he had spoken spanish. he still did, just not in public. thats why he wrote the address and event in spanish.
he hoped it was enough. he loved her without even knowing why.
