**** Hello everyone! The next part is here! I had a lot of inspiration lately, I visited New York shortly before Christmas, and I had such a wonderful experience there. I got to visit Bryant Park, and Culture Expresso. I took many photos! Ugh, I just loved it there if you couldn't tell. It was also enlightening to me going there, because it's really helping this story get along scenery wise— so except a lot of details in that area, hehe.
Anyways y'all find out what Kai is in this chapter, do you have any guesses so far on who he is? Comment what you think, I'll be following the lucky person who guesses correctly.
Further more, enjoy! ****KAI
"Why is there a gun in your purse?"
Eliza's face looked pale, "A g-gun? A-Are you d-delirious?!"
"Afraid not. Sorry." I said, in a mocking tone.
"Honestly," she scowled, "you have some nerve."
"Oh? Do I now? Well fine, if there's no gun in your purse then prove it."Eliza looked down, her face grown even paler. I could hear her heart racing. Eliza's reaction only told me that she couldn't prove she didn't have the gun.
I chuckled, "So, my date is trying to kill me? I must say this is a first."
I set my chin in my hand, my elbow propped against the satin-clothed table. I tap my chin thoughtfully, "Actually it had happened before, but— I killed her. Tragic." I laughed.
Her eyes widened, "N-no..! I couldn't kill....I-I...just...someone told me somethings about you....and it..scared me..I just took precautions." She said shakily.
She looked up at me, and raised her voice confidently, "And, besides this is New York...things happen okay. Bad things do happen, am I not allowed to take precautions, because I feel unsafe? Because, I'll tell you this I don't wanna be some famous murder story all over the news, like fucking Jason!" She said, glaring back at me now, her temper working up, which only amused me.I chuckled, "Oh woah. I see, yes very true, but I find it funny you seem so unsafe around me."
I smirk, "Show me the gun."
She took drew in a shaky breath, and pulled out out the 22. Rugar and slid it on the table her hand was placed on top of it. She wasn't ready to give it to me yet.
"No....." She said, pulling the gun back, "you need to tell me the truth. Am I safe with you? Because, I've heard you've murdered, been in trouble with the law....hell I even heard you were at Jason's last night, or seen around that area. I have a haunch that you killed him." She said.
She had pinned the nail to the head board. Which didn't surprise me, because she was very sharp, and smart."Yes," I said in a low voice, "I was at Jason's last night. Yes, I killed him."
"WHY!" She interjected.
"He hurt you. I wasn't gonna stand for that."
Her hands tightened in fists, her knuckles white with fury. "I'm not yours to protect! I met you two fucking days ago. You don't know me, and I barely know you. So fuck you!"The waiter comes in most likely hearing our quarrel.
"More wine mistress?" He asked her. Her expression softened, and her fists released.
She nodded, "Yes, please. Thank you."
The waiter poured the dark burgundy alcohol into the glass. He nodded to her and left, I sensed a smirk on his face.
What's the dirty fuck planning?I look back to Eliza, and I sigh, "Look Eliza, I only did what I did, because I care about you."
"B-But!" She interrupts.
"Silence!" I boom, "let me finish my fucking sentence!"
She cowered back in her seat, surprised by my loud voice. She said nothing, and sipped her wine. We both sat in silence, my gaze lowering to the glistening red liquid in my glass.I spoke slowly, "I care about you, because you remind me of someone very dear to me. You give me the same aura as her, the same persona, the same sense of naive-ness. It is sweet. Though, she is deceased and gone." I paused for a second, lowering my eyes.
"You have people special to you that have died, haven't you? You should know where I'm coming from Eliza. But it is no excuse for my harrowed actions. Can we go back to my house where it is private, so I can explain. At least allow me the liberal to do that."I looked up at Eliza, after I poured my heart out to her.
That is if I had one.
Eliza looks pale, I raise my eyebrows, "Eliza.......Eliza!"
Eliza didn't look good, her eye lids were heavy, and he body slumped against the chair.
I stand up abruptly, and walked over to her. I place my hand on her cheek, the soft supple skin caressing my rough-skinned hands like a benediction. Eliza's eyes closed— she was unconscious.
"What the fuck..." I look at the wine, and just now I smell something funny about it.
I taste it, I process the taste in my mouth, I swallow, "Drugs....rohypnol.." I growled.
The drugs did not harm my body in the slightest, I am immune to what most humans would call fatal.I threw the glass against the wall, "Fucker!" I exclaimed, holding Eliza's limp body closer to my own. I picked her up, pressing her head into the crook of my neck, so I could rest my chin on the top of her head. The scent of her jasmine scented shampoo filled my nostrils, it smelt nice to me, calming me for a mere few seconds.
I grabbed the gun from the table, my eyes glowing red in rage, and burst out of the room, not evening bothering to open the door, I kick it down.
The familiar waiter caught my eye, and just with my darkened powerful glance, he gets pinned to the wall. The force of the impact made him catch his breath a couple times. I growl, my breath coming out in a ragged staccatos. And, at the snap of my fingers the waiters neck cracks. The sound could curdle any innocent humans blood, but this sound was music to my ears, a sweet melody. I smiled darkly at the harrow sound.*****
I brought Eliza back to my place. I had used a simple spell to wipe the memory of everyone in the restaurant. They would not remember the past hour. So Eliza and I would've been forgotten. The death of waiter with a snapped neck only remained.
Eliza laid weakly on the bed, I was gonna lay her on the couch, but I wanted the most comfort for her as possible. I cover her lithe body in the warm sheets and blankets on my queen sized bed. I had taken off those heels of hers, that left red marks on her little feet, and ankles.
I sat next to her, just looking at her beautiful sleeping face. Her dark lashes casting a shadow on her tan face. Oh my goodness, she is like a siren, she has me so captivated by her even though she is asleep.
I shake my head at my softness and sighed, stroking Eliza's cheeks softly. I eventually get up, and change out of this tux, changing into my normal clothes jeans and a flannel. After 4 hours of Eliza laying in my bed, she awoke. The time would be a little after 00:00 (12:00 am).
Her eyes flutter open, "K-Kai...?" She groaned, seeing my face, "what happened?"
"We were at The River Café, and your wine was spiked by our waiter."
Eliza's eyes widened, "With what?
"Rohypnol."
"Oh. I should be fine. That drug isn't as harmful as others." She said.
I nodded, "Yes, are you feeling alright?"
"Yeah, I feel fine. I think. Where am I?" She said, sitting up, and looking around, resting her back against the head board.
"My house. You are in my bed."
"W-Whaaatt!!"
I chuckle, "Is something wrong with that?"
"I...I....w-we just met."I lower my eyes at her response, I reach my hand out to her cheek, stroking down her lovely jaw and neck. I feel her body shiver under my touch.
"K-K-Kai....I need to ask you...?"
"...Hush." I say, bringing my forefinger to her lips.
She quiets down, looking up at me nervously.
My hand rests on the lush skin of her collar bone.
"I have something to tell you Eliza, and I'm gonna be completely honest with you."
"H-Honest..?" She repeated.
"What did I say? Hush."
Her eyes widened, she nodded.
"I'm gonna be completely honest with you," I say again, "I need you stay calm, and quiet when I tell you. Am I making myself clear?"
She nods.
"Good," I respond, "I am a bad man, Eliza. Whatever your friend said about me is probably true." I stroke her collar bone, my fingers dipping down more stopping at the depression between her ample breasts.
"I am more than a bad man, I am....a demon. I killed Jason, I killed the waiter that spiked your drink. I...I..." I sigh, and take a deep breath before speaking once more, "'I am a demon, I've lived over 200 years. I'm a dangerous man..."
I looked at her straight in the eyes, my eyes glowing red— just proving that fact to her. That I am who I say I am. A demon.
She looked at me her eyes widened, she scooted away from me, giving me a look, like I am a monster— a ravenous volk. Please no, not rejection. No no no, please anything, but rejection from her.
