Danger!

Us three ran as fast as we could, our footsteps could be heard throughout the forest we ran through
"Keep running!" I exclaimed as I looked over my shoulder, the monster was catching up extremely fast.
"Gee, I would've never thought of running. Thanks Aaron!" Cora yelled and I rolled my eyes because of her sarcastic reply, this was unbelievable she was being sarcastic when we are about to die.
"Focus on running Cara, not the sarcasm." My best friend Kevin yelled.
"Or focus on throwing those knifes at it." I added and Cora rolled her eyes, she reached into her small pack which was on her side and she pulled out three kunai and tossed them at the monster. The kunai impaled themselves inside the monster and it growled, the growling stopped after about two seconds and the monster fell to the ground with a loud thump, the monster exploded in golden dust and I cheered, Cora smirked and Kevin grinned
"Yay, we did it." I said tiredly
"Of course we did, let's get to the quest at hand, where are we even supposed to go to get this artifact?" Kevin looked at the map, that Chiron had handed us at the last minute, with a puzzled look. Cora shrugged and I did as well, I snatched the map from him and stared at it for a few seconds, a grin spread on my lip.
"I know which way to go." I pointed down the left and Kevin looked at me suspiciously.
"Are you sure?" He asked, squinting as he looked at the map and I nodded to his question
"Yeah, I'm sure." I then started to walk towards the left, Cora followed and Kevin followed after a sigh of course. I kept walking, flicking my hand as my sword appeared in my hand. My eyes flickered around the forest and I hear a bush rustle, my head snapped towards the sound and I held my breath slowly walking towards the bush. I swing my sword at the bush, slashing the bush in half and whatever lay inside the bush. It was a smaller hellhound and I sighed, letting out a breath of relief as I lowered my sword and I continued to walk, Cora and Kevin had a look of pure surprise as they looked at the shredded bush.
"What?" I asked, tilting my head obviously confused at their looks.
"Y-Y-You just killed a hellhound, without even getting hurt." Cora mumbled and I grinned
"What did you expect me to be? Weak?" With that I kept walking, my sword raised again. I continued to go through the forest, Kevin next to me and Cora behind us.
"How'd you know the hellhound was there?" Kevin whispered to me and I smiled slyly.
"I have my ways." I answered and started walking faster, my sword still raised "We're close!" I exclaimed so Cora could hear, I got a nod from her and a sigh from Kevin. I could sense it, right behind those trees was the artifact, I swung my sword horizontally and cut the trees, they fell to the side and I slipped between the stumps and.... there it was. The artifact looked really.... futuristic. I stepped to get it and there was a trap, I fell into a ginormous whole, Kevin and Cora soon followed me down the hole, and as I landed pain flared up my body, with the pain I passed out
