**unedited (as always)**
I woke up the next morning with aches and pains all over. Apparently I wasn't used to so much activity. I slowly got out of bed ignoring the aches as I headed to the bathroom to have quick shower. Sebastian was picking me up today to take me to school, it was sweet of him, not necessary but still really sweet.
After my shower I got changed into my loose grey top with black jeans and my high top converse, they were a bit old now and had a couple of holes in them but I didn't tell my parents about it, I was already costing them a lot. I grabbed my school bag, slinging it over my shoulder as I walked down stairs. My brother was already guzzling down his cereal and my Mom and Dad were racing around so they weren't late for work and they dropped Daniel off at his school on time.
Before I had time to sit down with my cereal my mother was ushering my brother out the door, "Bye Kennedy, bye honey!" Mom called out to Dad and I.
"Bye!" We called back in unison, I heard the closing of the door and the sound of a car starting. My Dad peeked out the window checking to see if they were still there. When he was finally satisfied he stopped looking out the window and trying to tie his tie and sat down, taking one of the waffles Mom made for me off of my plate.
"Thank god their gone, I was beginning to think that I was going to have to take Daniel to school, I don't need to be at work for another couple of hours." My Dad sighed, taking a bite of the waffle.
I finished my waffles before turning to Dad, "Didn't you used to have to already be at work?"
My Dad's reply was cut short by a knock on the door. "I gotta go." I rushed out. I grabbed my bad and raced out the door, not leaving my Dad with time to ask questions. I opened the door, greeted by Sebastian. "C'mon," I rushed, "We don't want to be late now do we?" Sebastian laughed.
"Hi Ken." Sebastian said a bit sarcastically, completely disregarding my earlier remarks.
"Hiya Barbie." I chimed just like the song by Aqua. It however went unnoticed by Sebastian that it was a song lyric. He looked very confused so I decided to help him out. "C'mon Barbie lets got party!" I teased, I saw the recognition cross his features.
"No, that is not going to become a thing." He stated as we walked over to his car.
"Oh, but it is." I winked as we both entered the car and Sebastian began to drive away after we had put our seatbelts on.
We arrived to school quickly because my house wasn't that far away because I had to normally walk to school everyday. We walked into school together, it was weird, finally walking into school and not have to fear being best up because Sebastian was here to save me. I accepted that we were friends now but nothing more, not best friends no even close friends but we were friends.
I got to my locker and put away the books I had used for homework, I grabbed my folder with sheets of paper in it and took that to go to class, no use carrying around so many books. I turned, surprised to see Sebastian still standing there. "What's up?"
"My friends and I go bowling every Wednesday and the girls asked if you wanted to tag along. I think they really like you." He winked, I laughed, bowling sounded fun. I hadn't done it in a very long time.
"Sounds fun."
"Great! I'll take the there after school."
"You know you don't have to drive me everywhere." I told him, shutting my locker securely.
"I know, but it's an excuse to talk to you and I'll take what I can get." Then he left, to go to his own class I assumed as I took off in the other direction to where my class was.

After our last period the teacher asked Sebastian to stay behind, so I waited for him by the school doors. I had been here for only around five minutes so there was still a chance that he wouldn't be out for a while longer. "Man, she was the best lay, so easy and unattached." I freaked out, that sounded a lot like Jeremy and I doubted he was talking to himself.
I pressed myself to the wall as I heard them get closer, my heart rapidly beating against my chest. "Hey Jeremy! Look it's nerd and she's all alone. Where's your bodyguard nerd?" One of Jeremy's sidekicks taunted.
"Leave her alone." Jeremy mumered, so quietly that I thought I must have heard it wrong. Apparently I wasn't the only one.
"What? But she's alone!" One protested.
"I said leave her alone, Roy. No one touches her, got it?" He growled out turning on his friends. Did Jeremy just stand up for me. They all nodded wordlessly. I was shocked.
They turned to leave but I caught sight of Jeremy's expression when he look at me. Pity. They burst through the doors not sparring me another glance. I let out a breath still very confused, why did he let me go, why did he stand up for me?
I heard another pair of footsteps and this time Sebastian appeared. "Ready to go?" He asked, the bright smile still on his face.
"Yeah." I answered with shaky breath.
Sorry that the chapter is short but I wanted to end it here. Why do you think that Sebastian stood up for Kennedy? Please be sure to show your support by VOTING and COMMENTING. I will see you guys with the next chappie!
