"Hi" My breath hitches. That voice. I look up to meet light brown eyes, almost hazel. The world stops around me. I'm lost and i don't think i can breath right now. His eyes. They look beautiful.
Wait, Oh my gosh, its him. Hands wave in front of my face.
"Hello? You there?" I blink rapidly as i finally come to my senses. He stops waving his hand and stares at me, waiting for an answer. I stir a little cough and look down, trying to hide my blush because yes, he is that attractive but it's mostly due to my embarrassment. My heartbeat picks up speed.
"Sorry" i say quietly as I continue to pick up my books off the ground due to the impact of our collision. A hand reaches over and grabs the last book. I slowly get on my feet holding my books tight to my chest still not making eye contact with the boy standing in front of me. He extends his arm towards me with my library book in his hand. I take the book and mumble a 'thanks'. I turn around to walk away when he stops me.
"Wait, what's your name?" He asks from behind me.
I slowly turn around and face him. I stare at him to see if he was really interested to know my name.
"My name's Amara." I respond.
He smiles, "Amara." My heartbeat skips a beat as my name slips off his lips.
"Yes and who may you be?" I ask even though i already knew who he was.
His smile widens, "My name's Slade"
"Well nice to meet you Slade but i really need to get going." I turn around to walk away when he grabs my arm to stop me from walking off. Tingles and sparks travel up my arm from his touch. I snatch my arm away from him when he gave me that wierd feeling.
He flinches from my sudden act and starts acting nervous. He rubs the back of his neck with his hand while struggling to keep eye contact with me. "Sorry, I was just wondering if you would like to han-"
"Slade!" A fake high pitched voice cuts him off from finishing his sentence making him groan. He hangs his head low with his eyes closed.
Ugh, not her.
She links her arm with Slades when she reaches him. Her flirty smile turns into disgust when she notices me standing there. I just stare at her, not at all taken aback by her facial expressions.
"Uhm, are you lost? The loser club is that way." She says rudely, pointing to the girls bathroom of the school just to my right.
Slade tenses. "Gina, don't be rude." He says firmly.
"No, actually I was looking for the colouring club and by the looks of your face, you seem to know where it is, could you show me the way?" I respond to her insult using my big innocent eyes. Slade looks at me with eyes of shock then humour.
She gasps, "You bitch! Do you know who you're talking to you little bastard?!"
I squint my eyes acting as if i was trying to figure that out but i did know her. Everyone knew her but i wasn't going to let her know that i did.
"Well, what kind of look are you going for? With that amount of make-up on, you could pass as Ronald McDonald." I say kindly.
Slade bursts out laughing but quickly stops when he remembers the bitch was still standing next to him. Gina snatches her arm from his.
"Why are you laughing?! This isnt funny!!" She says with rage.
"You!" She points at me.
"You better watch your back you little twat! I will get you back!"
