Ten years later....

"Amara Zedler?" A lady calls my name. I stand and make my way to the desk.

"That's me." I say.

"Hello, i'm Thaliana. Mr Connors is ready to see you now. Please follow me." This lady was tall and slim. Her Blonde hair was long and had curls at the end. Her white blouser and white skirt made her look like a maid. She leads me down a very elegant hallway. The 100th floor of this building was beautiful. The scenery of the city through the glass windows is magnificent. It's day time and i wonder what it would look like at night. Probably even more breathtaking. We come to a door. She opens it.

"You may go in." She says.

"You're not coming in with me?" I ask nervously.

She shakes her head. "Please hurry, Mr Connors has a tight schedule." I nod my head and step into the office. The doors behind me close.

The back of the chair is facing me. I don't know what to do so i just stood there. I don't know this guy. All i know is that he is the owner of this very successful buisness and i want to have a job here as his assistant or something. Oh and his name is Slade Connors. Yes, i know, like Slade, the one from High School but there are alot of Slade's here in New York. He either hasn't noticed me yet or he's just ignoring me so i cough a little to get his attention. His chair turns around and the man in the seat is now facing me. My breath hitches. My heartbeat started to speed up. I stood frozen to the ground and now i'm in another world. It's him. It's really him. He's here, he's him. Oh my gosh!

A hand waves in my face and i blink rapidly. He is standing right in front of me. The man who i thought would never see again.

"Hello? You there?" He says in confusion.

"Slade?" I say, more like whisper.

"Yes, that's me and who might you be?" He says with a blank look on his face.

"It's me." I say, hoping he would remember me.

"Do you remember me?" I ask again.

He looks at me in more confusion. "Look, im sorry but i have a tight schedule so if you came here just to ask me if i remember you, which i clearly don't, then i should ask you to leave."

My face falls. Oh right. Ten years is a long time and i've changed. My little petite body is now more curvy and i've grown taller. My blonde straight hair is now in brown curls. My facial features look more mature and my skin is now a nice tan. He has changed too. His tad bit muscles in high school is now much bigger muscles. His jawline is so sharp, i could cut myself if i touched it and his voice has gone deeper. The only thing that hasn't changed, are his light brown, almost hazel eyes.

"Oh, no sorry. That was not the reason why i came here. I'm sorry for that misunderstanding." I reply softly. I look up to see him staring at me.

He walks across the room and sits on a couch. "Good, take a seat." He gestures his hand to a seat opposite his. I walk slowly to the seat and sit.

He leans forward so his elbows were on his knees, "So what is the reason that you wanted to meet with me?" He asks.

"Well, my name is Amara Zedler. I was wondering if i could have a job in your buisness. I have qualifications that you might want to see. Any position would be fine with me. Please, i need this job and if i don't then i'm in trouble." I say desperately. I think i shouldn't have asked him like that.

He stares at me. He holds out his hand. I wonder if the sparks are still there, so I lean over the table that stood between us and grab his hand. I hold on to it and a shock travels up my arm. Yeop, the sparks are still there. I smile at the thought of the past.
