Chapter 9:
"Give me that." Richard says as he takes off with the luggage that was in my hands.
"Uh, thanks?" I call after him, only returning it with a silent response from him.
"Rude." I say under my breath. I hear a chuckle coming from behind me. I whip my head around to face the unknown person behind me. I lift my right eyebrow at the person standing before me.
"What's so funny?" I ask.
Sage shrugs, "You."
"Please explain further into detail." I fold my arms waiting for his response.
"It looks like you're caught up in the love triangle." He smirks.
Love what now?
My eyebrows knit in confusion, "Huh?"
"Love triangle." He repeats. I was still completely confused. He sighs and shakes his head.
"Damn, You're so stupid." He says walking past me.
I scoff, "Speak for yourself, idiot."
"Shut up." He shouts as he kept walking. I grew irritated.
"Mouse!!" I shout while pointing at the ground near his feet. As soon as I shouted it, Sage went into a full sprint downstairs while screaming, "Rat!"
I roar with laughter at his reactions. After my little session, I make my way downstairs. What else am I forgetting? Right! My charm bracelet. I've had them ever since I could remember and I've always had this feeling to never be too far from it. I don't wear it but I do keep it with me. It wasn't from my biological mother so I'm confused as to why I carry it around with me if it isn't that special but I'm not sure, I could hardly remember anything since I was eight. The day of the car crash. Anyways, today we're all leaving for Los Angeles to Tremaine's parents funeral and we're all packing.
I walk into the lounge to see Sage sitting on the couch while glaring at me. I giggle.
"That wasn't funny, you twat!" He threw the cushion across the room, almost hitting me in the face but I managed to catch it on time. I was about to throw the cushion back at him when I remembered that I came to ask him for a favour. 'So be nice Amara, be nice.'
I tightened my grip on the cushion and slowly put it down on the couch next to me, trying my best not to throw it back. I put on my fake smile and walk towards Sage. Sage looked creeped out at my sudden change in attitude and leaned away from me.
I stand in front of Sage, "Sage, oh Sage, the most awesome, funniest, hottest guy in the school. The one and onl-"
"What do you want?" He cut me off.
"Can you give me a ride to my house so I can get something?" I wait for his response. Silence. This isn't good.
"Okay." He simply replied.
"What?" I ask. What's he up to? He doesn't give in to what I ask unless, there's a catch.
"Only-" Ah, there's the catch.
"-if you hook me up with one of your hot friends. Deal?" He smirks with his hand out for me to shake to confirm the deal.
"Are you dumb? You haven't even seen any of my friends yet." I fold my arms.
He stands up, "Well, that's where you come in. You introduce me to them, duhh."
"Why don't you introduce yourself?" I reply harshly.
He lifts his eyebrows, "Oh, I guess you can find another ride then. But since your house is pretty far, no buses are available at this time, cabs are really expensive for you, Tremaine isn't in the mood, Slade can't even see his car keys and Richard acts like he doesn't like you and he didn't bring his car, it seems I'm your only source left." He turned his back to me and slowly walked to the kitchen.
