Sage's Pov...

Tremaine and I make our way to the hospital with him driving. After that whole Amara incident, I've changed the way i look at her now. She's not just the confident, funny, happy girl that i know, she's also the shy, afraid and sad girl. That time she came into the kitchen was the only time i got to see right through her well-built walls. Tremaine was also a changed man. I have never seen him this close to a girl who he only has intentions of having a friend relationship with. Tremaine has always wanted a sister and i think Amara fits the spot. I can tell Amara has a thing for Slade by the way she looks at him. I just find it stupid for Slade to not see how much she likes him because of that Gina girl, who i know won't have a long thing with Slade. The only reason why Slade is with Gina is because that's who his father Griffin, wants him to be with, a smart beautifuI lady. Slade fell for that womans tricks and started to actually like her. Nowadays, Slade doesn't really show much emotions after that tragedy. Ever since then, he hardly ever smiled and I find it very hard to know what he's thinking. His father, Griffin only sees what Gina lets him see because to me, she's a money hungry two face. I hope Slade will just give Amara a chance. She might be everything he ever wanted or everything he will ever need.

"Sage!" I flinch at the sudden scream and clutch onto anything near me.

"What?!" I shout, hoping we weren't going to crash.

"We're here. Now stop daydreaming and get out!" I look around to see that the car stopped. I look outside to see lots of cars in carparks and a tall building with a 'hospital' sign on it.

"Aw, sorry." I get out of the car while he locks the doors behind me. He follows me as i make my way to the desk lady of the hospital. The lady who looked around her late 40's looks up at me.

"How may I help you?" She says with a flirty smile. Okay, ew.

"What room is Slade Connors in?" I ask, obviously not interested in her. She types down in her computer looking for his room number. She stops to look up at me.

"Who is asking?" She asks.

"We're his best friends." Tremaine says from next to me. Her eyes widen as she notices Tremaine.

"Names?" She asks again.

"Sage Ocean and Tremaine Axel." I reply.

"Oh, okay. He's in room B17. Is there anything else you guys might want?" She says huskily. Tremaine and I look at each other and then back at the lady. I lean forward and gesture her to bring her ear closer. She gets up and leans her ear in. My lips just inches away from her ear. I whisper.

"For you to move along, Grandma." I back away from her and walk in the direction of Slade's room, not giving the lady another glance. Tremaine runs up next to me, laughing.

"What did you say to her? She looked mad."

I shrug, "Something important." I smirk.

He chuckles and shakes his head. We make it to B17 to see Amara and Richard already there. Slade was still asleep with a bandage over his forehead where i could see a lot of blood has already stained. His right arm was in a cast and so was his left leg. He has bruises on the side of his face and scratches on his left arm. He looked badly injured.

"Damn, he looks like shit." I say. Tremaine elbows me and I clutch my side where the pain was coming from. Tremaine turns back to the others.

"Hey guys." Tremaine greets.

"Hey." Amara replys.

"How's he doing?" I ask.

Richard answers this time, "He's doing fine. He'll wake up soon."
