"This land, the house with its surrounding forest about mile in diameter is governed by town's head of healers..." The woman started. She then stood up, walked to the cabinet pushed to the wall. She pulled up the lowest drawer, retrieved a thick scroll. Kuwabara stood up to help her place it on the low table.

"Thank you, young man." She continued, "...before their healing practices died down. When the last keepers of practice believed their era would be over soon enough, they documented their earned knowledge passed through generations. Those scripts was entrusted to the land's rulers then passed to the current government, along with their other possessions, except this home."

The old lady untied the scroll, opened, position the scroll in the middle of the table.

"From the start, seven hundred years ago, when this home was left abandoned, the Head Healer requested it would be left as is. They didn't let anyone take the place. They manage it like we do. The reason was left unspoken for long years. Until the non-believers era broke the rules and tried to occupy the area." She paused, then inhaled the air, savoring the freshness it possessed. "Who wouldn't like to be here? Its like your own palace. Elevated on the ground, surrounded by magnificent blooming plants, fruit trees, the wind from the sea can even reach here. But they found out soon enough that this place is hunted by creatures beyond their darkest nightmares."

"Hunted?" Botan lowly whispered.

"Creatures, that obviously didn't belong here continuously bothered this place. They've come in in whatever era was there. They observe this place from afar. Confronting who ever came and got out of this area. They did their best to fend them off. Bringing shaman of different kinds. But no one got to deliver them out of this town. They return every now and then..  searching for something."

Yusuke now unfolded the scroll. His squad view whats unfolding from their seats. The first writings were new ones, in years not too long ago. He continued to unfold the scroll trying to figure out the contents. But all of it was writings about sightings and encounter with 'creatures'.

"Do you mean.... demons?" He asked.

"A lot of them were. But some kind also visits this place." She then turned to Botan.

"Hu huh?!?..... Maybe you were mistaken Ma'am?" The grim reaper replied. She can't find any reason in her mind why her 'kind' would be in this place.

"Maybe. But I can say that I've felt your kind a handful of times here. Trying to slip in here. But like other creature with evil intention, most couldn't even pass the forest."

"Can't pass? Is there some kind of barrier here? I didn't feel or see anything like that... though the area is weird. You didn't notice anything, did you?" Kuwabara checked all of his team mates.

Yusuke moved his head to indicate none. Kurama tried to feel anything from his seat, but "There's none for me too."

"It means that you intend no harm. But, you..." She took a good look at Kuwabara. "Maybe you have something on your sleeve?"

"I tell you Ma'am, this is the first time I've been here.... an-and I'm just helping my friend out." He tried to reassure the old woman.

"Helping out?"

"Uhh......" Kuwabara didn't know what to say, he knows it's not his call to detail it further.

So Yusuke help his friend, "I'm the one who initiated this visit Ma'am." He admitted. "We're here to try gather information about a woman who apparently lived in this place before it turned out to be a sanctuary. And its really important that we get those informations about her for our sakes."
