Undoing

I hear the squad come in talking and laughing. I pat my hair down so they don't notice how messed up it is. I pull a jacket on and cover up my face with my hand. Then it goes quiet, I try to pause my sobs but they slip out. I hear footsteps and look through my hair to see Jack, Matt and Summer standing in front of me. I continue to cry, it's just tears and sniffles now instead of sobbing. All of the sudden I feel a weight on me. I shift so I can see what it is. I see its Jack and he is giving me a hug. I wince in pain, but cover it up by hugging him back, crying into his neck. I feel two hands rubbing my back and know one's Summer and the others Matt's.
"What is going on here." I hear Iz ask. 
"I think you guys should go, we aren't hanging out today anymore." Summer tells them. I look and see Iz, Lacey and Shawn start to leave. I whisper something to Jack. He turns to Summer and tilts his head toward Shawn.
"Not you Shawn," she says. Shawn turns around and walks over. He finally gets a glance at me. He turns to Summer, then back to me, then back to her. "Could you excuse us," he asks and drags Summer out into the hall. Jack and Matt give me worried looks.
"Will you tell us what happened" Matt says seriously yet in a caring voice.
"You know hurricane the usually." I say trying to should like I'm not lying. They exchange glances then look back at me. Both their eyes are wide with love, worry,anger,selflessness but most of all trust. I couldn't lie to them.
"Okay maybe it was more than that." I mumble out.
"Des, no they couldn't have! Did they?" They both ask in unison. I slowly nod I lift up my head and gently shake out my hair so they can see were they pulled at it. I remove my hand from my check so they can see the bruise. I see Matt's eyes well with tears but I know he won't let them fall. There is something else there, it looks like anger. Both their jaws clench and Jack gasps "Oh Des"
"Wait there is more," I say. I slip of my jacket so they can see the finger nail scratches and the pinch marks. Finally I lift up my shirt enough so they can see the bruise on my side. "Those female dogs" Matt says, I laugh. They both give me a hug and help me up so we can leave and I can get cleaned up. I'm standing when Shawn walks into the room with Summer.
"I'm so sorry Des! If I had know this was happening I would have broken up with her!"
" You mean you never would have started." I say
"What"
"You heard me!" i raise my voice. "I told you about this! That it had been happening since October! A month before you were dating! I told you and you promised you would never like one of them for what they did to me! Well things have gotten worse since you started dating! I can't walk the halls alone with out this happening!" I shout gesturing to my appearance
"Des-" he starts
"Don't! unless it's and apology I don't want to hear it! So you decide, you can go on that date with you girlfriend or come to Matt's house for Friend Night and i'll listen to you there."  I state. He looks around at everyone and knows they all agree with me. He walks out of the booth and when I know he is gone I turn back to Matt and Jack's arms and cry again. "I can't believe he chose her."
