It was a nice town, peaceful and quiet....

I don't know why I didn't just stay here.

"Like it? It's out hometown." Alphonse said as I scoffed.

"Obviously..." No wonder he tried to settle down here.

"Alright. Let's get going...I don't wanna explain to Winry why we're carrying a guy in a crate either." Edward said, his arm sleeve waving in the wind.

"Then let me out." I said.

"Nope."

"...do you intend on having me stay LIKE this?"

No answer...

....stubborn as a mule.

We made it to a large house, a dog barking at our appearing selves. An old woman came out, her and Edward having a ...

Short Off.

I said it.

"Who's this?" She asked, easing an eyebrow.

"Just some rift raft we found. Hope it's okay we brought him here-" he stopped in mid sentence, a wrench flying into his face. Blood poured out of it as I looked up, raising an eyebrow at the girl in the window.

...interesting.

"Winry! Are you trying to kill me?!" Edward yelled. She laughed, looking down at him.

"Welcome home."

"...she's perfect for you-" I began.

"SHATTUP!" Edward yelled.

We went inside, and I was released from my cage.

I could've broken out from before, but maybe I should try to gain their trust before I make any sudden movements.

"So Aisling, what brings rift raft like you here?" The old woman asked as I looked at he pictures on the wall.

...the mother was quite a beauty. Hohenheim, you dog...

"I'm looking for Van Hohenheim." I said as she raised an eyebrow.

"Got a bone to pick with him? Don't tell me you're the boy's step brother."

"No, I'm just here to speak to him about old times..." I said as she gave a huff, smoke coming out of her mouth.

"A young boy like you? ...Well, he isn't here-"

"I know." I said, putting my hands in my pocket. "...It feels like finding him is going to take another century." I said as she laughed.

"You'll be dead before that happens. But, if you ever see him tell him I said howdy." She smiled.

I gave a dry laugh, following her out the room, the muscular man giving me a hard, unexplainable look.

...

"Is there something on my face?" I asked as he shook his head.

"Nothing at all, my dear boy! Just wondering if you-" a small yell was heard, and I recognized it to be Edward's. I walked into the other room, seeing a frown on his face.

"These spares will have to do for now."

"I see...alright. Three days it is."

I stared at his leg, not completely shocked, but...

A bit saddened, really.

"What, you gonna stare all day?" He asked folding his arms as he stood.

....

"...I was thinking that with the automail your height would increase. But it seems to have decreased in both size and-" I didn't get my sentence out before his automail leg was in my face, throwing me to the side of the house.

...it was worth it.

I

looked out the window at the hill of the second floor of the house, sewing Edward standing there from afar.

...to lose your mother, and want to being her back because of your loneliness...

It's a bit selfish...

But I can understand...and relate.

And Hohenheim was nowhere to be seen.

I smirk came to my face as I thought about the bastard.

... I should've died right along with them all.

"-oh, Aisling, right?" I turned around seeing the girl from before. "I'm Winry. I don't think we properly met." She said, holding up Ed's leg. I nodded, realizing the young girl's parent's weren't around.

"...are your parents engineers like yourself?" I asked as she looked at me.
"... No. They were doctors that worked for the military. They died in the war..."

...fuck.

"...don't you miss them?" I asked. I wonder if she would've tried human transmutation if she knew how.

"Of course I do...but, I can't dwell on it forver...right?" I didn't know if she was asking me, or herself. "So I've gotta help people like they did. Even if Ed is a big head..."

....

Well, fuck.

"What about you, where's your family?" She asked as I gave a light chuckle.

"They're dead. All of them."

The room went silent as she looked at me.

"...I had a brother and a sister. And a father. My mother was apparently a whore in his eyes, so my father beheaded her. My sister was sick, and my brother was a thief. They all died one day due to some Godly phenomenon no one can explain to me."

I looked at her face, pure confusion and sadness written on it.

I laughed, waving my hand.

"It's a joke. Just the plot to some old story I read. My parents are in Xing, doing alchemical research."

"...oh. Well, uh-do you get to see then often?"

"Every few months or so." I have a closed eye smile, lying right through my teeth.

....like anyone has ever believed me. I've been thrown into an asylum for my past, and those placed AREN'T pretty.

"That's good. But yous should write some stories, if you liel reading."

"...yeah. Maybe I'll so just that."

I'll write Hohenheim a letter too, telling him to help me die.
