So.. Im the new girl

Chapter 3

When we were finished it was still lunch so I could eat with everybody. Most of the tables were full so I decided to try and find Jude, and if they have an extra seat at their table. To my luck they only had one seat left, so with me in their table they had a full table. Since they were assigned tables but could pick who they sat with I asked if I could sit there, even though I kind of slipped it into a conversation, and all of them said "sure" like it was no problem. There were about three other girls and the rest were boys, there was 9 people sitting there and I made 10. Not knowing that the table I was sitting with was the most popular people in our grade. I started to talk to this girl who could be my twin but blonde, her name was Eleanor but everyone called her El and it just caught on.

She had blonde hair that came to her waist with brown eyes. She was normal height compared to everyone else in the grade but to me, I was short pretty much the shortest in the grade. She was taller by a couple of inches, but that didn't bother me because I was used to being short around everyone.

We all started talking and I made some new friends that I would have never thought I would end being friends with. By the end of lunch I felt like i've known El for my whole life not just for a little while at lunch. When we started walking up the stairs El came with me to my locker even though hers was all the way down the hall. Just because I could never get mine open so she had to open my locker. We ended up having some class's together. As Jude, El, and I were all walking toward History class with Mrs. Kelly. We started talking about all these random things and laughing so hard that me and El's face were bright red walking down the hall. The only reason that we were laughing was because of El's boyfriend, and also Jude's best friend telling a stupid joke.

Towards the middle of class the teacher Mrs. Kelly, finally realized that I was in the room because she let out a scream when she hollered "students we have a new student in our class room"

just as I started to turn pale with shyness my iPhone started to ring because "stronger" by Kelly Clarkson came on, right then in my jacket pocket. Thinking to myself that was a little embarrassing but the teacher just smiles and says "do mind keeping your phone on vibrate in class."

At my old school we weren't even allowed to have our phones with us, we had to keep them in our locker.

Of course the teacher says "so lauren why don't you tell us about yourself."

At that moment I say exactly what I said in math.

"hi my name is Lauren Smith, I used to live in North Carolina until we moved here because of my parents job and yea"

More and More classes went by so fast that it was the end of the day already. When the final bell rings we rush to our lockers when I ask El to come to my locker and open it. Of course Jude and El's boyfriend Anthony were with us as well. I overheard Jude talking to Anthony about walking home so I asked which way he was walking and to shock me he said the address that was across the road from me. To my shock I would have thought that I would have seen him outside or walking to school but I didn't.

All I said was "OMG I live right across from you"

he smiles and says "Anthony and El walk the same way but have to walk further than us."
