Niall's POV

I sat there looking at her, waiting on what she has to say about it.

But all she does is seat there looking at me with her dark blank eyes. It was like she was paralyzed – emotionless.

Come on Ari, say something!

Ari's POV

I'm in love with you Ari”

Am I awake? Did I just hear what I thought I hear come out of Niall's mouth?

I was dumbfounded, not knowing what I should be saying back to him.

Niall is a sweet guy, he's amazing and I do do love him so much, but being in love with him?

“Uhh...” how should I say this?

“Niall – I love you too” Did I say that right?

A smile started to form on his lips. Oh no! Wait!

“But...”

“But what?” he asked, starting to frown.

“Well it's just that... Umm...” Breath Ari, breath...

“You do know that I love you Niall, right?”

He shifted his eyes to the ground then back to my eyes – puzzled.

“I guess so.”

“But...”

Niall's POV

But...”

She seems stuck.

I know that inside of me, I already know what she wanted to say.

“Look, Ari you don't have to prolong this conversation. Just tell me already. Whatever you're going to say, I'm okay with it.” Trust me, I've been hurt enough, I wanted to add.

“I mean – I love you Niall, but I'm not in love with you. I love you, but just as a bestfriend.”

There was it.

I knew it all along.

Why did I ever have to be so stupid to think that she might actually like me the way I like her.

I breath out some air, lowering my head down.

“Uh... I'm sorry about what I've said.” I shifted away from her, “This must be really awkward to you.”

Ari's POV

He moved away from where he's seated, breaking the odd silence between us.

For a minute, I had this sad feeling inside of me. I feel like I've hurt his feelings and the distance between us felt like – things will never be the same between the two of us.

I watched him get up from where he's seated, telling me that he's got something to do.

I knew he was lying, but I sat there and let him go.

Liam's POV

As I put my earphones on, I blasted up 'You Need Me I Don't Need You by no other than one of my best mates Ed Sheeran' and walked downstairs headed to the kitchen. I'm really on the mood to hear this one, because last night I dreamt about – her, again. It just ticks me off, especially when she was with someone else. It's always the same pattern everytime I dreamt of her, but last night was surely something. A girl came out of nowhere, claiming she was my girlfriend. I was bewildered to be honest, but just went with the flow. Once Danielle and the guy she's with disappeared, the girl who came out of nowhere said, “Hmm...We're done here! Was my acting good?” Confused, I just nodded and she continued talking, “Well then, let's go with the lads?”
