My teacher just turned into this half man, half bull thing. Am I dreaming? I run along side my friend Monica. She hands me a trident necklace as soon as it is in my grasp it turns into a sword. I turn around to see the man-bull running towards me.
Acting fast, I charge the bull thing, but only graze it's arm. It come at me fast and I hit my mark this time, running my sword through it's heart. It turns to dust leaving its horns. "What in the name of God was that?" I asked.
"It was a Minotaur" answered Monica walking fast toward the front of the school,"You should probably put that sword away."
"Minotaurs are just a Greek myth. How could that be a Minotaur?" I ask in disbelief.
"All the Greek myths are true" she says.
"Why has it come after me then?"
"Kym, all of it will make sense soon but we have to go. Put away that sword," I do as asked somehow.
"How about my mom?" I asked.
"Just trust me and come on."
I follow Monica, I figure that since supposedly a minotaur just tried to kill me she would understand.
"Jason will be here any second to pick us up" she say.
"Whose that?" after I say this a blond boy came down from the sky.
"Come on guys," he say, "I would hold on."
As we fly into the sky I suddenly feel afraid that I'll fall. Don't get me wrong flying is great and all. I look to the ground and practically shaking I grab onto Jason tighter. "Are you okay?" He asks.
"I guess I'm just not fond of heights, that's all" I say.
"My sister is deathly afraid of height" Jason says.
"What's your sister's name?" I ask him forgetting I am suspended in the air.
"Thalia" he replies smiling.
"Where are we going?" I ask furrowing my brow slightly.
"Camp Half-blood" Monica answers.
"Half-blood? What's that about?"
"You haven't told her yet?" Jason says,"You're a demigod."
"So, I'm like Hercules"
"Well yes, but probably not a daughter of Zeus."
"Okay" I say processing the information. I'm pretty much silent the rest of the ride.
