As the now 18 year old twins, Dipper and Mabel Pines, near their destination, the Mystery Shack, Mabel starts to get more and more excited. "Ugh... I wish we were there already! It fells like every time we come back to Gravity Falls, the ride there is longer every time!" Mabel whines to Dipper, but Dipper is only half listening at this point. He is off in the world of his own imagination, thinking of what he will do, see, and encounter on this summer trip to Gravity Falls. The last few summers have had some exciting stuff happen, but not a lot. He's almost disappointed with it.
"He-y, earth to Dipper!"
"Hmm, what?"
"Its almost our stop bro-bro! Get out of the world of la la land, and get your stuff together!" It was, but Mabel was just egger to get there.
As the bus rolled to a stop, and the driver said, "Gravity Falls, Oregon. If this is your stop, get off!" Mabel and Dipper quickly got off the bus, and when the bus drove off, and the street came into view, they heard the horn of car being pushed rapidity. They turn to see there good friend Soos waiting in Gruncle Stan's car waving them over.
"Hey dudes, haven't seen you guys in a long time!"
"Hey Soos!" The twins said in unison.
"Stan wanted me to come and pick you dudes up from the bus stop so you didn't have to walk to the shack In the dark."
"Smart; Yay, now we can get there faster!" Dipper and Mable replied!
**Time skip to later that evening**
Dipper was in his room, now being able to have his own room and not share one with Mabel, sitting on his bed going over Journal's 1, 2, 3. He wanted to go for a monster hunt the next morning, but he had to figure out what he was looking for first? Hmm, he thought. It was 10:37pm when Dipper finally thought of going to sleep. He put the journals away and laid down in his bed. As sleep finally washed over him, he heard a distant, yet clear, vice say "Long time no see Pine Tree, you look different, but in a good, human, kind of way."
