Chapter 22

**At the Cliff**

Bill watched in horror as Dipper fell off the cliff backwards, seeming as if it were all in slow motion. For gods sake Bill your a DEMON! Use your magic! Bill screamed at himself mentally. He quickly tried to reach out for Dipper with his magic but he was to far away. And so, seeing the problem at hand, he stood up slightly, and launched himself off of the cliff and shot down as fast as he could to save his lover.

Tears fell from Bills eye as he raced through the sky. Just, a little, farther! Bill thought as the ground came dangerously into view. He outstretched his hand and put on a burst of speed, closing the gap in between him and Dipper.

Just as Dipper was about to hit the ground, Bill grabbed his wrist, pulled him close, and shoot back up to the top of the cliff. Oh thank god! Bill thought as he came to a landing on the top of the cliff.

"You can fly!"

Bill looked up shocked, standing a few feet in front of him was Dippers family, Stan, Mable, and Ford. Oh shit!

"Oh my god, Dipper!" Mable yelled and ran over to her unconscious twin.

"Who are you!" Ford inquired, glaring daggers into Bill. He and Mable looked at each other with worried faces, then Bill turned back to Ford and Stan and said, "well I'm surprised you didn't recognize me earlier Fordzy!" Mable took Dipper and swung his arm over her shoulder, but still stood next to Bill.

"What do-" Ford looked at Bill confused, then the look became pure anger,"Bill!" He pulled out  futuristic gun and pointed it at Bill, but didn't shoot.

"Wait, are you telling me that human his Bill!" Stan said shocked.

"Yes, but he is no human!" Ford raised the gun higher so it was pointed at Bills head, "he was the one that did all of this, probably even the attacks before too."

"No Gruncle Ford, Bill didn't do this, he was the one that saved Dipper every time!" Mable tried to reason with her great uncle, but to no avail. Ford activated the gun and put his finger on the trigger.

"Mable get away from that demon!" Ford shouted.

"No, he is trying to help Dipper, don't you see Gruncle Ford!" He didn't listen, and with that he shot the gun at Bill, but he was able to dodge it, and push Mable and Dipper out of the way.

"Stanford are you crazy, you could have hit Mable or Dipper!" Stan yelled as he tried to take the gun away from his brother. But Ford had way more fighting experience and was able to push Stan away, aiming the gun at Bill once again.

Bill saw this coming and pushed Mable and Dipper towards Ford so they were standing next to him. Ford took hold of them and stood in front of Dipper and Mable protectively, Mable tried to get around him, but wasn't able to get far.

"I don't want to see you anywhere near this family Cipher!" Ford said angrily.

"Gruncle Ford you can't do this, they love each other!" This got Fords attention.

"They what!" He screamed.

"I love him." Everyone turned to see that Dipper was now awake.

"Dipper, how could you possibly love that monster!" Ford said, it wasn't exactly a question.

"I don't know, but I just do," Dipper said as he tried to stand up straighter. He looked at Bill and gave him a weak smile, Bill returned his smile.

"I don't care if they're in love, he" Ford gestured at Bill with the gun, "shouldn't even be here!"

"You know, if it wasn't for me Dipper would be dead right now!" Bill shot back angrily.

"Bill," said person looked at Dipper, he had a sad, heartbroken look on his face.

"It's no use, don't try to argue with him." Dipper looked down at his feet.

"But, Dipper!" Bill pleaded.

"I'm, so sorry, Bill!" Both of them, including Mable, started to get tears in their eyes. But Bill refused to let them be seen, so he floated up into the air. Maybe I am becoming weak from hanging around these humans for too long!

"Fine, I'll leave," Bill said as he floated a little higher, the stopped abruptly and pulled the Journal out of his jacket, "here" he threw the journal at Fords feet, "you can have this back." Ford was shocked but still picked up the old book.

"How did you get this?" Ford asked angrily.

"I found it in the forest, Pine tree must have dropped it when he got possessed." Ford opened his mouth to say something, then closed it. Then opened it again and said, "how dare you take it!"

Bill scoffed, "just be happy I didn't burn it when I had the chance!" Then, Bill disappeared without another word.

"I'm so sorry Bill!" Dipper said under his breath as tears began to fall from his eyes. "I'm so sorry!"
