**Unknown location**
Dipper slowly wakes up, his head was pounding. He let out a quiet moan, trying to move his wrist but they seemed to be stuck, there was something hard and cold holding them down. He opened his eyes and looked around, he was lying down on an operation table thing. His arms and legs tied down to the table with steel clamps. The room he was in was dark, besides a small light shining brightly above him.
Dipper struggled to get out of the restraints, but he was still tired from waking up. What happened last night? Dippers head started to throb more, even thinking hurt him. He closed his eyes and exhaled, trying to calm down.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
Dippers eyes shot open, he tried to lift his head up to see anything, or anyone for that matter, but saw nothing. I-it's probably just your imagination! Dipper's breathing quickened as he heard it again.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
Just your imagination! He thought again.
"Oh I assure you, I am more than your imagination." Dipper froze, he recognized that voice.
"Oh I'm so happy that you remember me, it makes things easier for the both of us." Dipper could make out a dark silhouette coming closer to him.
"W-what do you want from me?" Dipper chocked out, his heart beating faster by the second.
"Nothing much just," The figure came into the light, "your mind!" With that, pain shot through Dippers body. Dipper arched his back and let out a cry of pain.
**With Mable**
Mable woke up screaming, tears streaming down her face. She clutched her chest and tried to calm down when she realized it was only a dream, and that everyone was safe. Everyone except her brother. Mable let the tears fall come and fall to the bed sheets.
Stan came running into the room, when he saw Mable crying he came over to her bed and sat down next to her.
"Mable, what's wrong?" Stan asked, whipping away a fresh tear that was rolling down her cheek.
"I-I had a nightmare," Mable wiped away the teas that started to fall. Stan looked at her,, waiting for her to continue. "You were there, so was Ford and Dipper. But Dipper was not himself, he was evil, and he," Mable stopped abruptly choking back the tears, "and he was hurting everyone." Mable broke out in sobs, holding Gruncle Stan close.
"Shhh, its alright Mable." Stan said patting Mable's head.
"I-It felt s-so real!" Mable said quietly into Stan's shoulder.
"Don't worry sweetheart, its not. Dipper is going to be alright, you'll see." Stan gave Mable a small smile.
"Okay."
"Hey, do you want some early breakfast, I'm sure I can get Ford to help make it!" Stan said smiling even more, while getting up.
"Okay, but I don't know if I should trust Fords cooking, he was gone for 30 years in another universe!" Mable said getting up and smiling.
"True, true!" Stan smiles and led Mable down stairs to the kitchen. Then to get Ford from the basement.
**With The Demon and Dipper**
The demon put Dippers memories in a small cylinder like container, and stored them away in a well secured box. "These will not be needed once I'm through with him!" He opened a portal and put the box into it.
The demon walked back over to the table where new memories were being transmitted to Dipper, smiling mischievously he added in a few more just for the heck of it. He looked at the ones that were being transmitted to make sure they were believable and accurate, all the while saying a few aloud for extra precaution. "Mistreatment from family, running away, being bullied, getting help from a very handsome demon." He smiled and ran his figures threw his hair when he said the last one.
He watched as the last of the memories made their way into the teens head. He removed all equipment from the room and changed the room entirely so it looked more like a bedroom than a lab. The few scars that Dipper had from earlier will make his lie more believable. The demon pulled a chair close to the edge of the bed and put on his most concerned face he could possible muster. Dipper started to stir and let out a quiet groan, his eyes slowly opening.
"W-what happened to me?" Dipper asked quietly. The demon pretended to be shocked and overjoyed as the teen slowly started to wake. "Oh Dipper, I was so worried you wouldn't wake up!" He said as he hugged a confused Dipper.
"W-who are you?" Dipper asked, The Demon pretended to look hurt.
"I had a feeling this would happen," he said as he sat back down in his chair. "My name is Tad Strange, you had summoned my a long time ago because you needed my help. Do you remember that?" Tad asked with fake concern.
Dipper was quiet for a moment before saying, "yes."
"Thant's good," Tad said with a fake smile.
"So, what happened to me?" Dipper asked.
Tad put on an angry face, drifting his eyes away from Dipper as he spoke, "you had gone out to take a walk in the town when that rotten family of yours dragged you to the forest and attacked you. You had called out for me, but by the time I got there you were unconscious and had many wounds." Tad pretended to get very emotional, and turned his head away for a moment.
Dipper was quiet, he didn't know what to saw to this demon who he suspects is his friend.
"Why does my family hate me?" Dipper asked after a moment of silence. Tad looked at him, trying to find a good answer that sounds believable.
"You are different, your family believes that you are a demon." Tad says plainly.
"Well, am I?"
"Not entirely." Tad says after a moment.
"Whats that supposed to mean?"
"You are a demon, but not a full demon, only half." Tad smiles reassuringly.
"Is that supposed to make me feel better?" Dipper raises an eyebrow in question. Tad smiles again and shrugs. "Alright," Dipper says looking towards the window that was in the room. He could see a bright blue sky in the distance and a dark, lush, green forest stretching as far as the eye could see. Dipper realized he didn't know where he was, "Tad?" Dipper got the demons attention, "where am I exactly?"
"Why, your in my home in the mindscape." Tad said rising from his chair. Dipper looked shocked for a moment then brushed it off, expecting no less from a demon. "If you'll excuse me, I should get dinner started for you." Tad said with a small bow, and walked out of the room.
"Alright," Dipper said as the door closed. He tried to remember the fight that had happened but could not seem to, I must have got hit on the head pretty hard to forget it. He thought, his gaze drifting back to the window. I'm glad I have Tad here to look out for me. Dipper smiled knowing that he is safe as long as he has Tad to protect him.
"I'll have to thank him later," Dipper said to no one in particular, "as soon as I see him, I'll thank him!" Dipper continued to look out the window as he waited for his demon to return with dinner, his smile widening with every passing second. I'm very lucky.
