Previously - When they finally stopped, they just looked at each other. A slow smile started to creep onto Bills face. Dipper returned his smile and kissed Bill on the cheek. Bill pulled Dipper into a hug, and after a while they both drifted off to sleep, with the sound of rain and distant thunder outside the cave.
**Present**
Bill woke up a little before dawn. He looked down and saw that he was still holding Dipper in his arms. He smiled, Hehe when did I become so soft? Bill thought to himself. Bill gently laid Dipper on the ground, than walked to the mouth of the cave. The rain had stopped, and everything was wet and sparkling in the morning sun.
Bill looked down and saw that his cloths were covered in Dippers blood and the strange black stuff.
"I should fix that." Bill said allowed to himself. He snapped his fingers, and now he was wearing a plain yellow t-shirt with black jeans and boots. I should go wake Pine tree and try to find our way back to the shack.
He walked back in the cave and over to Dipper. Oh my god, he looks so peaceful. Bill shook Dipper lightly, "Piiine Tree, Wake up. We need to get back to the shack. Your family is probably concerned that you've been gone all night." Bill said sweetly.
"Umm, I don't want to get up." Dipper said as he rolled over.
"Alright, I didn't want to do this but you forced me to." Bill said with a smile as he picked Dipper up and through Dipper over his shoulder and started to walk out of the cave.
"Bill, put me down." Dipper said as he tried to get Bill to stop and put him down.
"Are you even going to be able to walk? The monster hurt your leg pretty bad?" Bill questioned.
"I don't know, lets find out. But if I can't, your not carrying me like this." Dipper said as Bill gently put him down. Dipper tried to put his right foot down, he winced as he put the slightest pressure on it.
"Yeah, your not walking on that." Bill said as he picked Dipper up bridal style. Dipper blushed slightly as Bill smiled at him and kissed him on the nose, which made Dipper blush even more.
"So, which way should we go?" Bill asked.
Dipper looked around, "I have no idea."
"Straight it is then." Bill said with a smile. So Bill started forward with Dipper in his arms.
**Time skip one hour later**
"Okay, time for a break." Bill said as he set Dipper down. "I should also change your bandages."
Bill snapped his fingers and fresh bandages appeared. He started to unwrap the old blood soaked bandages and put them aside. Dippers wounds barely healed, they were still bleeding a lot and the wound on Dippers calf was a mess of pulped flesh.
"Ugh!" Bill said in disgust.
"Yeah," Dipper agreed, and flinched a little when Bill poured some water on it. Bill had some rain water he saved in a container.
"I hope we find the shack soon, you might need surgery for this." Bill said as he continued to wrap Dippers leg.
"Bill, why don't you fly above the tree's to see where we are, and maybe you'll be able see the shack from up there." Bill looked up at Dipper with a look on his face Dipper couldn't quite read.
"Are you going to be alright down here by yourself?" Bill questioned.
"Yes."
"Alright, I'll be back." Bill said as he started to fly up to the top of the trees.
Bill turned in a circle when he was above the trees, he couldn't see much here so he went higher then, there! He could see the town a few miles east from were he and Dipper were.
"Dipper! I see the town, It's a few miles east from here!"
"Really?"
"Yeah! maybe three or four miles away!"
Bill picked Dipper back up and started to fly east toward the town.
**Time skip 20 minutes later**
Bill and Dipper neared the shack, knowing which way to go, finally saw it or heard it really. They heard Mabel yelling at someone that they should go looking for the two boy's that went missing. When the shack finally came into view they saw that Mabel was arguing with police officers, Gruncle Stan, and Gruncle Ford. Gruncle Stan saw them first, he looked really worried, angry, and shocked when he saw them. Mabel turned to them, her face went pale when she saw that Dipper was being carried. They all ran over to the two boy's.
"He was attacked by a monster, and I tried to get him back sooner but we got lost when we ran away from the monster." Bill explained. Gruncle Ford called a paramedic over, and they took Dipper from Bill a put him in an ambulance that was waiting.
"How come the monster didn't attack you?" Stan asked.
"And how did you get the bandages, Dipper didn't bring anything with him other than the journal. And you didn't have anything with you when you guy's left. And weren't you wearing something else when you left?" Ford questioned.
You have to tell them, you knew you had to at some point. Bill thought to himself.
"Well, you see..."
"You have a house in the woods, and that's where you took Dipper to get the bandages and a change of cloths?!" Mabel said enthusiastically.
Bill pretended to looked shocked, "wow, how did you know that? I never told you where I lived."
"I'm really good at guessing!"
Well I guess my secret is safe, for now. Bill was thinking as they walked in to the shack. I hope Pine tree will be okay, oh, I should have told the paramedics about the black stuff. Oh well, they'll hopefully find out themselves.
